God help them gid if they do. I do know they have 9 or 10 picks this year, so who knows what they do. all i know is carson wentz but be the next coming of Peyton Manning to mortgage the team's future like this IF the Eagles trade of the #1 pick.
Would love to hear what the proposed offer is. If Philly, it's gotta be at least a #1 and a #3 this year, and a #1 and a #2 next.
for a qb that won't see the field till 2018! no chance i do this with so many other holes to fill. this is team building suicide 101!
Reports say the price is high and that Philly is probably the team........Of course, nobody really knows who or if it's really a fact......
I've read reports that the deal is not quite big enough for the Titans liking.. My guess is that the Eagles are offering #8, #77, #100 and probably 2017 first round pick...I would also venture a guess that the Titans are asking for a second 2017 pick. I know the chart is obsolete, but going by the old means... #1 = 3000 pts #8 = 1400 pts #77 = 205 pts #100 = 100 pts Future picks are valued as one less round... So 2017 First Rounder top value of the Second Round = 590 pts All that combined = 2295 pts So even with an outdated format, the chart would show a future, first (590) and third (104) discrepancy in value if they were to accept that trade outlined above. I doubt they would be asking for another first or second rounder in 2017, but I could see them asking for another 3rd rounder in that deal (104 pts - totaling 2399 pts from the old value scale, or equal to the #2.5 place in the draft for the #1 overall pick) While the points scale is, well, pointless.. the sheer number of draft picks should still be commiserate to the draft pick value and owning the #1 pick in the entire draft should still hold a lot of value to that owner.
CINCINNATI (AP) ? Bengals coach Marvin Lewis has signed a one-year contract extension through the 2017 season, the third straight year he's gotten extra time on his deal after losing in the playoffs. The sides agreed to an extension last Friday. He also got one-year extensions after the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Lewis has coached the Bengals for the last 13 seasons, a club record. He's 112-94-2 in the regular season and 0-7 in the playoffs, an NFL mark for postseason futility for a coach. The Bengals have lost their opening playoff game each of the last five seasons, also a record. The Bengals lost their cool and blew a last-minute lead against the Steelers in the playoffs in January.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) ? The Giants kicked off their offseason conditioning program Monday by adding free agent running back Bobby Rainey, linebacker Kelvin Sheppard, and offensive tackle Byron Stingily to their roster. The veteran signings were designed to add depth and competition. It follows general manager Jerry Reese's $204.25 million spending spree that procured starting talent in Dolphins defensive end Olivier Vernon, Jets defensive tackle Damon "Snacks" Harrison, Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins, and Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson on the March 9 opening of the free-agent signing period. Monday's signings brought a mixture of starting experience and special teams expertise.
I wish the NFL would just take that drug off their list. However, in Gordon's case he'd probably show up to games stoned then. To call him a loser would an insult to losers everywhere.
He should have been a musician, not a pro football player. 'Josh Gordon and the 4 chances' 'Josh Gordon and the "A" "B" samples' Featuring his #1 hit - 'wanted the Browns, couldnt quit the green, now i got the blues'
That last one sounds like a shitty song. I try hard not to drop any passes, but my Doobie Brothers keep passing to me.
No one has to believe me, but somehow I saw this coming. I doubt this guy ever really plays in the NFL again...
How does he go almost a year without getting caught, then right before his time to get reinstated get popped? This dude must secretly not want to play in the NFL.
