That's his fault, the deal is an all- nighter, if he falls asleep, they're gone. Of course he could make it an issue, they don't, they're stinking rich.
Report: Raiders and Oakland close to agreement for 2019... Meet the new hole. Same as the old hole. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Raiders and local officials have reached an agreement on a deal which will allow them to play at least the 2019 season in Oakland. The negotiations with the Coliseum Authority had progressed well in recent days, and while final details are being ironed out, a deal could be wrapped up by Friday. The Raiders needed a temporary home since their new place in Las Vegas won’t be ready until at least 2020 (there’s an option for 2020 in case it isn’t finished), so an awkward return always seemed like the most logical result.
Palm Beach DA just said that he's not aware of and would be incredibly surprised by there being a "bigger" name involved in this whole ordeal. Basically said that Schefter was full of shit. Why the motherfuck is that guy still allowed to spew nonsense? Unfounded, every-direction nonsense, so that he can say he was right when one of his bullshit calls chances to be true.
I'm not saying Schefter isn't full of shit, but this was the DA on the case of the Orchids of Asia establishment where Kraft was...He may not be in charge of any of the other cases involving the other several establishments and nearly 200 arrest warrants..this particular one only involved 25 "johns". edit: actually, it was the states attourney that was talking..but it was just about the 25 arrested.
Just wondering how the NFL will deal with Robert Craft bet he gets a fine and a slap on wrist for the rub and tug
What did Irsay get for his DUI a few years ago? 6 games and 500K fine IIRC? So that's the floor for Kraft, and I'm sure it'll be higher (and it should). I'd be fine with a full year suspension and a very hefty fine, so long as the money goes to support victims of trafficking. Then have him just quietly step aside and let his son take over.
That was for stuff that happened with his employees, though. He got out of Dodge to keep all the real dirty details from getting out.
Very true. But somehow I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL took a harsher view of human trafficking than on sexual harassment in the workplace.
Kraft isn’t involved in human trafficking. Just using the trafficked prositutes. He probably never gets caught If they weren’t investigating the trafficking ring.
I understand that. But . . . human trafficking doesn't exist if people didn't pay for the end product. Thieves wouldn't steal cars if they couldn't sell them (or their parts).
And before someone jumps down my throat, I am NOT comparing human trafficking to auto theft. Craft obviously wasn't directly involved with the human trafficking ring . . . but his participation with the end result of it clearly allowed it to exist.
State Attorney for the 15th Judicial District... that District being Palm Beach. I live here, Irish - I got this. I work in the legal field. There aren't many secrets from State attorneys, in cases like this. He said that he can't say for certain whether there's a "bigger name", but that he'd be incredibly surprised if there is one. The above is just a reiteration of my original post.
He may not end up being nailed for any human trafficking charges - he likely won't. However, anyone enlisting the services that he did is well aware that human trafficking is involved. He may not technically be guilty, but he knew what was going on.
My point was, it could involve one of the other areas in this investigation. This wasn'y only Palm Beach, it was a whole circuit reaching all the way to Orlando. HIS involvement was with the Orchids of Asia Spa, in the 15th District. That only involved 25 arrests currently, while the case as a whole involved over 200 arrests reaching to Orlando...That's all I was saying.
And what I'm saying, beyond the fact that both of my above posts made clear the DA and I are aware he can't know for certain one way or the other, is that if all of these cases are being handled by State attorneys, why the hell wouldn't they be communicating with each other? Because they do. What is being misunderstood? You're saying he can't know for certain? Sure. That's what I was saying. That's what the DA in question was saying. I knew this was a mistake. Just shouldn't have engaged. It never goes well.
To the above point: The DA is not saying it's impossible for there to be a larger name involved. What he's saying is that, after days of communication over this case after it was made public, he still is not aware of anyone who would fit that bill. He's questioning how Adam Schefter would have any inclination that that would be the case, considering the DA's relationship to the cases at hand. I can state it another five ways, in case anyone else needs.
