41 years old! And he see's what the backup QB's are making so he wants to come back......Maybe he should have a talk with Adam Laroche about $13 MIL. being peanuts? Hey Fish, I saw you post on CBS, the Adam Laroche column. Completely agree that a kid shouldn't be at his Dad's workplace everyday. The funny thing is, Williams told Laroche maybe 50% - 60% of the time, not 100%. I'm willing to bet Laroche regrets his silly move in the future.......
Patriots acquire tight end Bennett in trade with Bears LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) ? The New England Patriots have acquired Martellus Bennett from the Chicago Bears, giving them another talented tight end to pair with All-Pro Rob Gronkowski. New England also gets Chicago's sixth-round pick in this year's draft in exchange for the Patriots' fourth-rounder in the deal announced on Thursday. The 29-year-old Bennett has spent eight seasons in the NFL, the past three in Chicago. He made the Pro Bowl in 2014 and has 3,586 yards with 23 touchdowns in his career.
Vikings agree to terms with Andre Smith on 1-year deal MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ? The offseason overhaul of the Minnesota Vikings offensive line continued on Thursday with the addition of free agent tackle Andre Smith. Smith agreed to terms on a one-year deal three days after visiting the Twin Cities, and his addition bolsters a group that struggled to protect young quarterback Teddy Bridgewater last season. Smith visited Minnesota on Sunday and Monday, dining with Vikings brass and touring the new stadium that is set to open in August. But he left without a deal and also visited the Arizona Cardinals before ultimately choosing the Vikings. Smith tweeted a picture of his new Vikings nameplate for his locker in announcing his decision. "Minneapolis here I come...Excited to join the great Vikings organization today on a 1-yr deal!" Smith wrote. It's the latest in a series of moves by general manager Rick Spielman and coach Mike Zimmer aimed at upgrading the line. They signed coveted guard Alex Boone from the San Francisco 49ers, replaced offensive line coach Jeff Davidson with Tony Sparano and brought back veteran tackle Phil Loadholt and guard Mike Harris. Smith is expected to compete with Loadholt, who is returning from a torn Achilles tendon, and T.J. Clemmings, who was the starter as a rookie when Loadholt went down, for the starting right tackle spot. Smith was the sixth overall draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009. He was the starter at right tackle for the last five seasons in Cincinnati.
Browns sign safety Rahim Moore to 1-year contract CLEVELAND (AP) ? The Cleveland Browns have signed safety Rahim Moore to a one-year contract. Moore spent last season with Houston before being released by the Texans earlier this month. He signed a three-year, $12 million deal last year but was benched midway through the season. He was inactive for the team's final nine regular-season games. Moore is expected to compete for a starting job with Jordan Poyer. The Browns need a safety following the departure of 2014 Pro Bowler Tashaun Gipson to Jacksonville. The 26-year-old Moore played four seasons with Denver, which drafted him in the second round in 2011. Moore has made 54 career starts in five seasons. Also, wide receiver Terrelle Pryor and defensive back Don Jones have signed their qualifying offers as restricted free agents. Pryor played in Cleveland's final three games last season, his first action after converting from quarterback.

Ravens CB Tray Walker dies of dirt bike crash injuries BALTIMORE (AP) ? Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker died Friday of injuries he sustained in a dirt bike crash in Miami. The 23-year-old Walker played one season in the NFL. The Ravens say his godmother confirmed "that he had passed." Miami-Dade Police say Walker was riding a Honda dirt bike with no lights and wearing dark clothing when he collided with a Ford Escape on Thursday night. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition. A fourth-round 2015 draft pick, Walker played in eight games last season, mostly on special teams. In a letter to the team Friday before Walker died, Ravens coach John Harbaugh wrote: "That was the kind of phone call you never want get as a coach, as a parent, as a brother, as a friend. This shook me and all of us."

AP Source: Browns host free-agent quarterback RG3 CLEVELAND (AP) ? The Browns are taking another look at Robert Griffin III. The free-agent quarterback visited on Saturday with the Browns, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press. Griffin, who was released earlier this month by Washington, met with new Cleveland coach Hue Jackson and members of the front office at the team's facility in Berea, Ohio, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team is not disclosing its plans during free agency. Four years ago, the Browns were enamored with RG3 and wanted to take him in the draft. However, the club couldn't work out a trade to move up and were outbid by the Redskins, who selected Griffin with the No. 2 overall pick. With his running ability and rocket arm, Griffin took the NFL by storm. He led the Redskins to the NFC East title as a rookie before sustaining a serious knee injury in the playoffs. He was never the same player again and his career has been in steady decline. The Browns could offer a chance for a revival. Cleveland's quarterback situation has been in shambles for years. The team recently waived Johnny Manziel, a former first-round draft pick whose off-field antics overshadowed any progress in two seasons. The Browns have the second pick in this year's draft and are considering California's Jared Goff and North Dakota State's Carson Wentz. But if the team doesn't want to go in that direction, Griffin could be a plug-the-gap quarterback while the Browns develop a younger player. Josh McCown is currently the leading candidate to start at QB for the Browns in 2016. Griffin went 14-21 as a starter for Washington. He passed for 8,097 yards with 40 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,480 yards and eight TDs.
What is wrong with RGIII? He averaged 7 wins a year as a starter, that would be a big step up for the Browns.
