The Eagles must have a QB coming out of college next year that they want to secure the #1 pick for.

I doubt they would do bad enough for the #1 pick. I feel a middling season again, 5-8 wins. One of the teams in the division will likely have a good season this year and the Eagles probably have the lowest odds after the latest moves.

I disagree. I don't think you'll miss Alonso much. If Hicks is back at full strength he's a stud. IMO the team is in better shape without Demarco Murray. The Titans are going to regret that one.

To me, the only surprise move is being so eager to jettison Byron Maxwell out the door. I guess Pederson has something else in mind for his scheme.

Maxwell move does not surprise. If they don't think he can be a top corner without the support of other great DBs carrying the load of the burden then the money is way too much. This is the same idea they have with DeMarco but I am still shocked they gave up on him. Kiko seems like a throw in. If the deal is for peanuts I'll be perplexed because he was likely to start at OLB for cheap. Even if they lost him to FA it would likely result in a good comp pick if they didn't sign many guys next year.

Well the Eagles certainly aren't a boring team to follow these days. They're pretty much making as many moves as the rest of the league combined. *DONT_KNOW*

How did Dwayne Allen get 4/30? Colts need to can Grigson.

Alonso was terrible last year - essentially he's had one great year, one year lost to injury, and one year where he was completely ineffective (possibly because he was still on the mend from the injury).

Hicks is a good player...when he's healthy. The reason he fell to the 3rd round of the draft was BECAUSE he was perpetually injured.

This has nothing to do with Pederson and EVERYTHING to do with Howie Roseman.

10000% agreed! howie is taking back the helm that was taken from him with kelly! he's out for blood and getting rid of kelly's dead weight and bad cap space players. cut, cut, cut.

he wanted out of philly bf and after kelly was fired. nothing made him happy so why have his attitude around? he was a kelly transaction, so howie is getting rid of all of kelly's mistakes. the 3 yesterday were a prime example. adios!

Yep - this is almost a personal vendetta for Roseman, getting rid of the players brought in by the guy who banished Roseman to the financial side of the building.

i read he was in charge of the equipment or something like that as a slap in the face. haha.

Curious to see where Brockweiler lands. I think Denver without question is the best place for him to play. But, not sure if Elway will pony up (no pun intended). Houston might offer a lot more guaranteed money. LA is a nice option too if they become interested.

If Osweiler leaves, where does that leave Denver? RG3?

  15. Catfish Guest

    I thought Denver was offering Brock 3 yrs / $45 mil ?

I'd probably grab Hasselbeck at least as insurance and then maybe make a run at Fitzpatrick and draft a QB in first three rounds.

Needa see that guaranteed dough. Numbers don't mean much til we see em. Osweiler needs to get that in case he doesn't pan out. Ultimately I doubt the guy leaves, I think Houston forces them to up the anty. His agent will put on a nice spin and get my hopes up and then Osweiler will go back to Denver on a generous contract. I'll guess 4/64 32 guaranteed.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) ? The Buffalo Bills have reached an agreement to re-sign offensive guard Richie Incognito to a three-year contract worth $15 million.

The Bills announced the agreement being reached on Tuesday afternoon, a day before Incognito was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent. A person with direct knowledge of the contract terms provided the details to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the Bills did not release those figures.

Incognito enjoyed a comeback season last year after spending about 15 months out of football for being a central figure in the Miami Dolphins' bullying scandal in 2014. He started all 16 games for the Bills and was part of an offensive line that helped Buffalo lead the NFL in yards rushing.

Steelers sign cornerback Gay to 3-year deal

PITTSBURGH (AP) ? The Pittsburgh Steelers signed cornerback William Gay to a three-year deal on Tuesday, keeping the veteran in the fold rather than letting him test free agency.

The 31-year-old Gay is one of the league's most dependable players. He's played in 144 straight games since the Steelers took him in the fifth round of the 2007 draft. Gay has played eight of his nine seasons with the Steelers. He played for Arizona in 2012 before returning to Pittsburgh.

Gay holds the NFL record for most consecutive pick-sixes in NFL history, returning five straight interceptions for touchdowns between the 2013 and 2015 seasons. Gay, who served as Pittsburgh's defensive captain in 2015, has 11 career interceptions to go with six sacks, seven forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
