With a week of practice and the weapons the Eagles have, why not believe that Nick "Peyton Manning" Foles can lead Philly to a SB? I think Romo is content in the booth. He seems really happy there and he's getting accolades for his natural and concise delivery during games too.
bc halo I saw the 8 min he played and the skipped passes off the dirt etc and that's the shit that got him canned as the starter in the first place. their line is in trouble with a holding call on almost every play called against them or they give up a sack. Foles needs to learn how to be a real QB in the next 6 days! Thank God they play the Giants, who stink! you said weapons--does he have the arm and game smarts to connect with them ? Romo is just me losing my mind over our QB done for the season. Did you say Peyton Manning ? What's his #? lol.
NFL investigating Seahawks’ actions, Jaguars’ stadium security after ugly ending Sunday The ugly ending to Sunday’s game in Jacksonville could have consequences for both the Seahawks and the Jaguars. NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart confirmed today that the league is looking at on-field discipline for players who committed personal fouls late in the Jaguars’ victory over the Seahawks. That was to be expected, as the league always investigates any incident that results in ejections, and Seattle’s Sheldon Richardson and Quinton Jefferson were ejected. But the league also confirmed that the Jaguars have a responsibility to ensure that there’s adequate security around the field, and that the NFL will investigate how multiple Jaguars fans were able to throw things at Seahawks players. “The home team does have responsibility for security and we work closely with all 32 of our clubs on those issues,” Lockhart said. “We are going to be looking at and talking to both clubs about a variety of things in that game particularly at the end where we had a series of ejections, on-field issues and then leaving the field. We will be working with the club to identify those who might have been involved in throwing objects or acting outside the rules we expect of our fans. That has already begun, as well as our football operations department looking at on-field stuff. Nothing to report at this point, but all of this will be looked at thoroughly.” The Jaguars fans who threw objects on the field will likely be banned from the stadium, if they can be identified. And it won’t be surprising if Richardson, Jefferson and Michael Bennett are suspended. The league may also take action against the Jaguars and require them to beef up security at the stadium. Sunday’s incident was ugly, and the league can’t have that happen again. (PFT)
The fans are idiots and its gonna eventually lead to obstructed views due to barriers being installed or netting. Goodbye "Lambeau Leap" or any facsimile and other positive player/fan interactions.
and Foles could've had more. I think there's an unwritten rule a QB can't go past 7 bc the Eagles pulled Foles when he had 7 in the 3rd qtr. I think Manning was pulled or held back as well. Foles was so hot that game and the Raiders def was swiss cheese. he could've had 9 or 10 TDs. he looked like the second coming of Dan Marino! Sadly, the clock hit midnight and he was still Nick Foles.
Was gonna put this in the Steelers threads only, but its TOO FUNNY to not put it here... http://blurredculture.com/bengals-vontaze-burfict-says-a-steelers-fan-keeps-shitting-on-his-lawn/
And Foles did it in 3 quarters without throwing a pick. Yes it was the Raiders when they were crap but if it was easy it would have happened multiple times already vs bad teams. That was a very special game and season for him. He still owns what I say is the best game ever by a QB even if you want to point at other QBs being clutch in multi-score comebacks. It's gonna suck but the team got Foles for a reason and this is it.
About the security thing. I get if it's a chronic problem with stuff always being thrown and nobody punished but you can't prevent it with your security when it just happens.
Agreed, Joe... some stuff is just going to happen and the players can do more to curtail it than the security system can.
Looks like Bryce Petty is going to get another chance. http://jetswire.usatoday.com/2017/12/11/if-josh-mccown-is-out-bryce-petty-hopes-to-make-him-proud/ Honestly, I thought he'd have that job locked down by now.
McCown has been great and Petty is your average 3rd stringer. Plus they held him back because of giving the Hack reps.
not enough of it. no guards at the bottom of the steps there. at the linc, there's a guard at the bottom of every staircase. and in 1988 or 1989 a fan waited for the right moment and dumped a cup of piss or beer on Jimmy Johnson's head as he headed in the tunnel which was right above the fans. next game -- a elongated makeshift tunnel made out of plastic or vinyl that extended from the tunnel to the field like an accordion to keep the opposing coaches and players safe at the Vet.
Jets aren’t going anywhere, if still believe Hack has a future with the team, may as well give him a shot. Petty is a known quantity
Neither is an option really. And THE Hack is definitely a known quantity. Has been for years. His size and "skills" got him an undeserved shot to be an NFL prospect.
