thank God it was in Canada as if it was the US, the goalpost would be farther back. great kick though. 59 yrds is one heck of a boot !
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...on-thursdays-says-nfl-needs-to-get-rid-of-it/ Big Ben -- not a fan of Thursday Night Prime time games! I know the blood thirsty fan wants this, the greedy owners want this, but the players don't. something has got to give here.
More Seahawks news: Byron Maxwell is heading back to Seattle to fill the DB void left by Richard Sherman's season ending injury.
When the only damn thing you got to worry about is playing a game on Thursday night to appease the die-hard football addicts and get a Million bucks doing it... shut-up, suit-up and play!
^^if it were only that simple Will. I think rest is the main factor from the players and the kink in the scheduling.
Not really, because you take that 10 yards "between the 50's" out of the equation...Regardless, a 59 yard FG is a 59 yard FG...It's where it crosses the posts, not he goal line. But, yes, one helluva accomplishment!
Get rid of Thursday night games, get rid of Saturday games, get rid of games in the UK. Start focusing on "better" instead of "more."
Going out to watch football just isn't a cultural thing in Canada. At any level the games never really sell out outside of some CFL markets like Saskatchewan where there is nothing else to do.
ha! if they did that Axe-then that would be making the right decision and we all know they never do that !
dawg-i meant in the NFL it's on the backline, not goaline. in the cfl it's moved up closer to their goalline. but still it's a 59 yarder to win and that's a boot on any damn field.
Yes but it doesn't change the kick length and it's the same distance from your own goal line to the far posts.
I'm the same way with baseball - go back to a 154-game schedule, play more scheduled double-headers to treat the fans, start the season later and end earlier... Sometimes less is more.
It's a smart move by the Bills. They get the remainder of the season to evaluate Nathan and see whether or not he is the future. Tyrod is not.
