I don't understand the corellation between the NFL protest and pizza chains. I cant wrap my mind around whiny stockholders blaming the NFL and its on-going saga for a decline in stock. How ever in the world did this get started? Can someone explain to me how the NFL protests led to a drop in shareholders worth at Papa Johns?
Breaking... Ezekiel Elliott is back, again Elliott will play on Sunday, because the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has granted an administrative stay allowing Elliott to play while the appeals court considers the question of whether Judge Katherine Polk Failla improperly refused to issue an order allowing Elliott to play while the litigation regarding the validity of his six-game suspension proceeds. The ruling, made by Judge Susan Carney (nominated to the position by President Barack Obama), puts the stay in place pending the next opportunity for a “motions panel” consisting of three judges to consider the issue. The granting of the stay suggests that Judge Carney regards the harm Elliott would suffer from missing the game as indeed “irreparable,” which makes it more likely that the Second Circuit will overturn the denial of a preliminary injunction while the case works its way through the normal steps and stages of the court system. Whether Elliott plays beyond Sunday remains to be seen. For now, the Dallas Cowboys will have Elliott when they welcome the team that used to be the Dallas Texans back to town.
It is related but not from people not seeing the commercials. When people watch football they order pizza, if they aren't watching football (ratings down) they aren't ordering pizza to eat. Sales would be down.
Jerry Jones is attempting to oust Goodell. Jerrah and Papa J are corporate partners. Food for thought?
Krafty, Jerrah and McNair amongst others to be deposed to turn over emails and text messages in tge Kapernick collusion case.
wouldn't it be kinda funny if the Texans sign Kap to replace Watson? Won't happen, but it'd be funny.
That's only part of it Gid... They are also tuning in to other stations which will have other pizza chains advertising on those channels. Subliminally, those commercials DO make you feel better about ordering a certain pizza the more you see it on television. So if you watch a lot of NFL and see a lot of Papa John's, you are likely to order more Papa John's when ordering pizza. Pizza Hut mean while is a major sponsor in NCAA sports, so those who choose to watch more NCAA to get their football fix will subliminally switch to craving Pizza Hut over Papa John's. Dominos targets Nascar and local television broadcasts, so if that is your new outlet, then you will start to lean towards that chain. Nascar is a direct competitor to the NFL on Sundays. Don't dismiss the power of suggestion, the studies show that the human mind is very open to suggestion. Then of course, you are exactly right, pizza is a common theme around football in general, so if the tv is off or tuned in to something other than sports, then there is less pizza being ordered at all.. Regardless, Kaepernick did raise awareness of social issues, but he is also directly responsible for the decline in NFL ratings as well. That alone is reason not to hire him back into this industry.
AJ Green and Jalen Ramsey ejected after fighting. Green is going to miss a few weeks. Take that to the bank.
Kirk Cousins gets last laugh in 17-14 win The Seahawks pulled out a victory in the final moments against the Texans last Sunday and it looked like they might do so again this week, but Kirk Cousins wasn’t out of tricks. Playing behind a ragtag offensive line, Cousins was sacked six times and hit several other times over the course of the afternoon but stood tall enough to deliver big plays to run the Redskins down the field after a late Seahawks touchdown. The biggest of those plays was a 39-yard strike to Josh Doctson that set up Rob Kelley‘s one-yard touchdown run with 59 seconds to play. Russell Wilson, who hit Doug Baldwin for a 30-yard touchdown with 94 seconds left in the game and beat Houston with 18 seconds left on the clock, got one last chance with the ball, but time ran out on a 17-14 win.
what the hell was winston thinking? why wasn't mike evans ejected? he ran over lattimore? the nfl needs to throw the book at evans and then kick winston out for a game or 2 for being a moron and starting a brawl! if ramsey and aj green were ejected, why not evans? one of the dirtiest plays i've seen. http://bucswire.usatoday.com/2017/1...more-tampa-bay-buccaneers-new-orleans-saints/
