Gilmore, Watkins, Darius, Darby, Ragland. These are all fairly recent high draft picks that have been shipped out of Buffalo in one fashion or another. The talk was the Bills were tanking for a QB. The team said "not so fast" with that yap. It's looking like the Bills may finally have some shrewd decision makers. Getting Benjamin could be huge. I may have to even start devoting a little attention to the NFL at he expense of NHL time. Maybe I'll start doing that on Thursday night.
So the Browns were too busy high-fiving each other on an AJ McCarron trade with 5 minutes to go they forgot to call the league and were a few moments too late.
Jeremy Lane failed his physical with Houston, per source. Trade now amended: Duane Brown and a 2018 5th for Seattleās 2018 3rd and 2019 2nd. Instead of giving a 5th this year Seattle will give a 3rd but receive a 5th in return.
Reports are that the celebration part of the story may not be true (epic if it is). That being said however, The friggin Browns have issues. Deep seeded ones.
There are some really good QBs coming out in the draft next season. The Browns need to stop screwing around and draft one. They are going to have one of the top two picks, get a good QB. They could have had a lot of the good QBs in the league right now if they just drafted them instead of stock piling picks for players that can't wait to get out of town because they suck
I would agree with that if there was actually a "franchise QB" in the next draft. I'm not so certain there is.
Why anyone would wait for the 11th hour for such a big move is mind boggling. Typical jocks - wait until the last minute to hand in their homework.
