yeah i saw what ALS did to my friend's Mom, who was only 53 when she died. She battled it for 4 yrs. She was the nicest lady I ever met. Terrible illness.
Here are some Tom Brady comics... some funny stuff. Probably funnier or more amusing if you're a Pats/Brady fan. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/10/tom...og-photoshop-cloud-with-a-chance-of-meatballs
Sean Weatherspoon is back, at least until the next strong wind once again puts him on IR. Falcons rookie linebacker Duke Riley underwent surgery and is out indefinitely. Atlanta resigned Weatherspoon to fill in, releasing defensive tackle Joe Vellano to make roster space.
Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas didn’t show any sign of having a knee injury in last Sunday’s win over the Packers, but it appears something isn’t quite right. Thomas was listed as a non-participant by the Saints for Wednesday’s practice and a knee issue was cited as the reason for his absence from the field. Thomas had seven catches for 82 yards against Green Bay and is New Orleans’ leading receiver on the season. Thursday will provide a better idea if this is a significant issue or if Thomas was just getting some rest for a minor problem. Willie Snead got in a full practice after being limited by a hamstring injury for the last few weeks, so the Saints could have another receiving option available in the event Thomas isn’t able to go against the Bears this weekend.
Jacksonville Jaguars... Jaguars sign linebacker Telvin Smith to four-year extension... Two weeks after being awarded AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors, linebacker Telvin Smith was given a more tangible reward by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars announced they’ve signed Smith to a four-year extension Wednesday night. The deal is worth $50 million, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Smith was set to be a free agent at the end of the season. He’s now under contract through the 2021 season. “Telvin has been a productive player and an important piece of our defense and he has earned his second contract,” executive vice president Tom Coughlin said in a statement. “We want to identify the players who will contribute to help this team win going forward and reward those who can do that. Telvin is certainly one of those players for us. This is a high performance business and we look for his continued development as a team leader both on and off the field. “Along with this new contract, Telvin must accept the high expectations that go with it.”
I posted this in the Steelers board... BRYANT DEMOTED! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...e-wont-play-sunday-demoted-to-the-scout-team/ Looks to be a temporary demotion for acting like the screw up he is.
Ravens score two touchdowns on Matt Moore INTs in 40-0 rout of Dolphins Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley and cornerback Jimmy Smith each scored touchdowns on interceptions of Matt Moore as Baltimore’s defense brutalized the Miami Dolphins in a 40-0 shutout on Thursday night. Baltimore managed to overcome the loss of Joe Flacco to a concussion in the second quarter after a late hit by Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso. Alex Collins gained 113 yards on 18 carries, Buck Allen added 55 yards on 17 attempts and Ryan Mallett threw a touchdown pass in relief of Flacco as the Ravens handled a completely anemic Miami offense.
Ndamukong Suh gets second unnecessary roughness penalty Ndamukong Suh got his second unnecessary roughness penalty of the night shoving Ravens quarterback Ryan Mallett before grabbing him by the throat. The Dolphins were offside on a red zone play and when Suh reached Mallett, who already had handed off the ball, he pushed the quarterback. When Mallett went back at Suh, Suh put him in a chokehold and pushed him backward by the throat. In the skirmish that followed, Dolphins defensive end William Hayes poked Ravens tackle Austin Howard in the eye.
I predict that will be a short run..The Steelers are lucky to be in the AFC North this year. That will vault them into the playoffs getting 6 wins in-division. I think they go about 6-6 against the rest of the league, which will get them the division championship, and possibly a first round bye. It will come down to you guys and the Patriots, but either way, they will be one and done and Roethlisberger retirement news will start trickling in very soon after. They aren't on par with the Chiefs or Patriots, so "Super Bowl Run" is a bit of hyperbole.
They just beat the Chiefs, they beat them twice last year, so I'm not sure what you mean not on par with them. Pats, fine, they have the Steelers number like the Steelers have the Chiefs. Pats have a bad defense who just lost its best player for the year. Brady is still pretty freaking good and pulls magic out of his ass, but that defense is going to fail him. Super Bowl run is not a hyperbole for the Steelers, who are widely considered a top 5 team.
Nope, won't get anything for him because of the drug history. One positive test and he's banned from the league. Add that to something around 13 catches in 7 games and he has no trade value. By all accounts I have read, he is still a good teammate, so they'll bench him one game and hope it lights a fire.
