Fitzgerald had a great season... he may not like the idea too much. But, if the Jets go into camp with a little QB competition, it might not be a bad idea. 49ers must really love hearing this from him also. lol.
Well this is good news... NFL and law enforcement: No credible threat to Super Bowl 50 SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? NFL security leaders and top law enforcement officials say there is "no credible threat" to Super Bowl 50. Jeffrey Miller, NFL senior vice president of security, planned to walk the perimeter of Levi's Stadium again Wednesday and he estimates it's approximately three to four miles around the facility in Santa Clara where Sunday's Super Bowl will be played between Carolina and Denver. Miller said he is satisfied with the collaborative effort between local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to handle any possible issues, including terrorism of any kind. "It gives the NFL a great deal of confidence in the safety of our premiere event, our teams and our fans," Miller said at a news conference Wednesday. "I can speak for Commissioner (Roger) Goodell in saying that we are deeply appreciative of the leadership, resources and attention to detail put forth by our public safety partners."
You just reminded me of "The Sum of All Fears".
Bill was and still is crazy. I think he thrives on the attention too. I saw him play many times and he was always reckless. The comment about choking Cam was over the line in my opinion.
Intimidation was so much a part of his on-field persona that I don't think he will ever be able to take it out of his every day swagger. If he worked at the local deli he would be bagging your groceries with such ferocity that your children would cry all the way to the parking lot - "Fuck you cabbage, GET IN THE FUCKING BAG!" He missed his true calling as a professional wrestler.
Jets sign RB-KR Dri Archer to reserve/future deal FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) ? The New York Jets have signed speedy running back-kick returner Dri Archer to a reserve/future contract. The versatile Archer, who has also played wide receiver, was a third-round draft pick by Pittsburgh out of Kent State in 2014. He was waived by the Steelers last November. Archer had 10 rushes for 40 yards, seven catches for 23 yards and returned 23 kickoffs for a 22.4-yard average in 20 games with the Steelers. His deal with the Jets takes effect in March, when the NFL begins 2016 business. Jets coach Todd Bowles and general manager Mike Maccagnan recently said they want the team to be faster next season, and Archer fills the bill. He ran a 4.26-second 40-yard dash at the 2014 NFL combine, second-fastest in the last 10 years to Chris Johnson (4.24 in 2008).
Except he'd forget the part about the script and it being fake. Heck he'd make it real with people out to get him also saying F the script.
I think he was kidding as he was laughing etc. if he was serious and was filmed saying that, than he's a bigger idiot than he looks!
Manziel not charged despite claims he hit ex-girlfriend CLEVELAND (AP) ? Despite disturbing allegations that he struck his ex-girlfriend, troubled Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has not been charged with a crime and two Texas police departments have closed their cases on a possible assault. Manziel, who will be released by Cleveland next month, ending two turbulent NFL seasons, was being investigated for allegedly striking Colleen Crowley last weekend. She told police in Fort Worth that Manziel struck her "several times" and that the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner acted "as if he were on some kind of drugs," but she maintained he was not intoxicated. A police report released Thursday provided the first details of the altercation that took place between Manziel and Crowley, first at a hotel in Dallas and then as the couple drove back to her Fort Worth apartment. Both police departments investigated the incident but didn't charge Manziel. "It was determined that no reported criminal offense occurred within Fort Worth's jurisdiction," Sgt. Steve Enright said in an email to The Associated Press.
Manziel's agent drops quarterback after police inquiries CLEVELAND (AP) ? Johnny Manziel's agent has dropped the quarterback following two police investigations in Texas last weekend. Erik Burkhardt released a statement to media outlets Friday saying "with deep regret" he has ended the business relationship. Manziel will be released by the Cleveland Browns next month. Burkhardt says he will remain supportive of the 23-year-old player. The agent adds that he and Manziel's family have gone to great lengths to outline steps to help him. Manziel was under police investigation for allegedly hitting ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley. She told police the Heisman Trophy winner struck her "several times" at a Dallas hotel and later when they drove back to her apartment in Fort Worth. The police departments in both cities said Thursday their investigations are closed. Burkhardt isn't the first to end business ties with Manziel. Cavaliers star LeBron James' marketing agency ended its association with him last month.
if his parent's are so well off and wealthy, why don't they get him some freaking rehab as he clearly as alcoholic and violence issues? what are they waiting for ? are they waiting for him to kill someone or himself? i don't get his family at all.
The person has to make that decision. Family can only persuade and stop enabling said person. Help has to come from within first... hopefuly, before its too late, he will realize this and seek help.
His father personally checked him into two separate facilities in the past week alone, only to have Johnny check himself out as soon as his dad left..
Will I disagree as many addicts will never admit they need help or treatment and just keep on doing what they're doing. Sometimes they need to be forced to see the harm and destruction they are doing firsthand as their illness clouds their judgment so they can't make the call on their own with a sound mind and body. can't the manziels force him into a 30 day rehab where he can't leave like the celebs do like lindsey lohan and shit? Dr. Drew or something?
Not that im aware of. You cant force anyone to get help outside of a court order. That involves circumstances Manziel hasnt faced yet.
