I'd say the injuries are worth nothing and can definitely be called "devastating". Pitta, even though I admittedly am not a fan of his, was the starter and the go to of the QB. Whereas I do agree him not being there may be a positive overall, it still doesn't change the fact it's a loss. Gillmore, one of the potentials to take Pitta's spot. He played well when he was actually healthy. Not having him either means the Ravens are down to 3 real WRs. 2 coming off injuries and 1 an infraction away from a year ban. This injury led to using more cap space on a replacement. Dixon, by all intents was going to be the starter and focus after his suspension. 4 games missed is manageable. An entire season is not. Young, slot CB, played as well as any rookie CB last season and has good potential. Led to using more cap space on his replacement. Canady, received rave reviews all offseason and talked about as the one to replace Young at one point. Would that have happened, hard to tell, but the talk made it seem like it was Siragusa, regardless of anyone's opinion, he was receiving 1st team snaps at LG. I've said since the draft, he was going to be the LG and Lewis the RT which would have been a better line than what we're going to have to line up as of now. These are not small injuries and more than just worth noting. If you can say the offense didn't receive enough attention, then losing multiple players that were going to be counted on can't be considered just note worthy. And call the 4th round rookie thing what you want. We've all seen middle to late draft picks make their way onto the field in the rookie season and play well.
Now that qualifies as devastating. Lose out on your 1st two picks of the draft? That has an impact beyond one year.
Pre-Season football starts tonight. Arizona at Dallas, 8pm et. I heard we shouldn't expect most of the Stars to play... oh well, still might be interesting.
Don't know how interested I'd be in seeing a first preseason game of other teams (considering very few - if any - bona fide starters will be playing), but I always like to see how rookies and other developing players fare for my team.
I don't care if it's the Jags vs the Bears. Its football and any football game is better than no football.
Developing story... The Miami Dolphins received an injury scare to their most important player. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill went down with a non-contact injury during Thursday's practice. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Inside Training Camp Live that the issue has to do with his left knee and the team is taking it "very, very seriously." Per the Miami Herald, Tannehill was scrambling to the sideline during team drills when he went down awkwardly. The signal-caller remained down for about 15 seconds before getting up and walking slowly to the locker room. There are currently no further details on the injury.
They’re still holding their breath in South Florida. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are awaiting the results of an MRI on quarterback Ryan Tannehill‘s left knee. Per Salguero, the knee was hyperextended. He possibly has PCL damage, which could knock him out for anywhere from two to eight weeks. The nightmare scenario involves a full tear of the ACL that was partially torn when then-Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell hit Tannehill low last December. Tannehill and the team decided that the quarterback shouldn’t have full reconstruction, with a slightly torn ACL preferable to a full-blown ACL repair. If he now needs a full-blown ACL repair, he’ll most likely be out for the entire season.

Ryan Tannehill suffers no structural damage to knee The Miami Dolphins sidestepped a major injury on Thursday. NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reports there is no structural damage to Ryan Tannehill's left knee after he exited practice following a non-contact spill, per a member of the organization. Tannehill underwent an MRI after practice and his knee is as sound as it was before, per Kinkhabwala. The knee did buckle, and the Dolphins are deciding how to proceed after the scare. The news is a huge sigh of relief in Miami. Tannehill could miss some time in training camp as the Dolphins take it slow with their starting quarterback.
A late Thursday evening report from ESPN.com's Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington stated that the Dolphins now fear Tannehill's season might be over:
If Tannehill is out then the biggest winners, not counting any new QB, starter or signed, are the Buffalo Bills. The Jets are trash and one of Buffalo or Miami could make some noise. Miami was the favourite but now it's got to be the other way around.
