Yep, that's a project for tonight. I'll update the 'perfection' for sure, but I don't know if I'll rework the entire thing. I have a lot of time put into it already and I'm not sure I can properly adjust everything in the time I have with Conley scrubbed from the first.
Well if you want a quick suggestion based on rumours that doesn't involve a trade then the Titans take Awuzie at 18. All should be normal until the Raiders and there are a TON of options available there via rumour and most of them didn't go in your mock. You'll have to remove a TON of Conley references though in other picks lol. The perfection will be tougher as you had him go well earlier. I'm gonna guess by your rankings Harris goes at #11 to the Saints now and the Eagles take McCaffrey, Colts take Bolles, Bucs take Ramczyk, Broncos take Robinson, Giants take Cunningham... and wild guess, Chiefs take Jarrad Davis (or Giants take him).
Awuzie won't be sliding up but I see the logic there. This is going to change things not only from 18 down, but also up, as having Conley off the board makes multiple moves happen. I'd prefer you not trying to guess it out Joe and I'd rather not discuss it on the boards. I'll make the changes and let everyone know when they're done.
Ha fine. I wonder how close I was to some to get that reaction. It was just a guess, not suggestion or anything. EDIT: Well the first one was a suggestion, I even flat out said it. I meant the rest wasn't. The first only was because you said you may not change it anymore. I was just trying to show how you could possibly do it quick instead of not doing it at all.
I still think dignity doesn't involve meeting in an elevator and sha-boing with a foursome. Someone's daughter, unfortunately thought this was safe practice. This will surely affect Conley's draft status.
Per Adam Schefter -Titans and Bucanneers are rumored to be contemplating trading their first round picks. Titans have the 5th overall and are serious about the move. The Bucs are talking with as much as 3 teams about moving back or out of the 1st rd all together. Also, Arizona LB Daryl Washington was conditionally re-instated by the league and plans to play this season.
Serious question to the group; Why is it that Washington's and Bryant's teams have been informed that their suspended players have been (conditionally) re-instated prior to the draft but the Browns, and perhaps others, are left twisting in the wind?
Seahawks, Raiders agree to trade for Marshawn Lynch's rights If all goes according to plan, Marshawn Lynch officially will be a member of the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday. Lynch's representatives and the Raiders have agreed to terms on a contract, and the team has already hashed out the details of a trade with the Seahawks for Lynch's rights, multiple sources informed of the negotiation progress on both ends of the deal told NFL.com. The draft compensation will be a swap of late-round picks in 2018. The only thing standing in the way of the five-time Pro Bowl running back's return is for him to take a physical with the Raiders. Two sources said the team expects Lynch to do just that on Wednesday after he returns to the Bay Area from his trip to Haiti, where he and his former Seahawks teammates Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett have been touring the country to help build schools and houses. Lynch was slated to be back in the country on Tuesday but didn't catch his flight. The Raiders and Lynch have, in recent days, agreed to terms on a contract for the 2017 season. After weeks of negotiation, Oakland agreed to pay Lynch $3 million base, with a chance to make $2 million more if he gains 1,000 yards. The max value of the contract is $8.5 million. Why a swap of late-round picks in the future? A source said both teams didn't want any uncertainty surrounding this year's picks so close to the start of the draft. Lynch is also required -- eventually, but not immediately -- to file papers to unretire.
but witnesses said nothing happened and the 2 just laid on the bed together and nothing happened. they said she was pissed she got thrown out of the room and now is stating she was raped. ??? who the hell knows what really went down?
That's a good question and I'm sure there must be an explanation... I just don't know what it would be. Off the top of my head, both Washington and Bryant missed considerable time and were proven over that time to be compliant. I hope others have some input also.
Josh Gordon has also missed considerable time for the exact same reason as Bryant. To the best of my knowledge . . . Neither Washington nor Bryant checked themselves into rehab. Nor has Gordon been found to be non compliant over the past year. Yet, the Browns, and perhaps others teams, are forced to develop their draft strategy as if they won't have access to a viable wide receiver.
Much as I love any opportunity to sh!t on Goodell and his notions of fairness and consistency, without knowing the dates when the reinstatement applications were received and the results of the subsequent meetings, it's impossible to say...there could be any number of reasons why one takes longer than another.
Josh Gordon always seems to mess up right around the time he could be reinstated. I don't think it has as much to do with the team as it is that the league feels they can't trust the player.
No to both. That's not the point. The point is the NFL should advise ALL teams on the status of their players prior to the draft. They drug their feet last year and forced the Browns to overdraft at the WR position. If they have enough information to re-instate some players prior to the draft, they should have enough information for a ruling on ALL players. To answer Underdog's question . . . Both Bryant and Gordon petitioned the league for re-instatement as soon as the 2016 season ended in February (right after the Super Bowl). At that time, it was expected to take 3 months to get an interview with Goodall. Bryant got his, Gordon is still waiting.
But Gordon has missed 2 or 3 seasons in a row now. Not sure the league is sure he can actually get back without further incident.
Okay . . . Then tell the team he will not be re-instated and let the team plan accordingly. I'm NOT debating whether or not Gordon should be re-instated. But the league office SHOULD treat all teams the same. And they don't.
