they're drafting one. they have no money for AP or Blount. Getting either is a pipe dreams pipe dream! mathews is mush too. they drafted smallwood last year. get a good back this draft and use smallwood, sproles and the draftee.
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/w...t-isnt-worthy-of-no-1-pick-in-2017-nfl-draft/ Warren Sapp says Garrett shouldn't be the first overall pick! Wow. Some bold words by SApp on Garrett!! he says he disappears when he watches the tape...
just shocked that he would say anything about any of the draftees this close to the draft. kind of a dick move.
Is there anyone out there that takes Sapp seriously? Most people's ears would perk up when a HOFer speaks. When Sapp flaps his gums I think most people just tune him out.
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/r...itive-drug-test-diluted-sample-181428150.html Peppers has diluted drug sample. will this affect his draft status?
I would think so. Peppers has to be the "right fit" for your team to begin with. So I don't think it takes all that much for his draft stock to take a hit. Teams are probably working the phones hard right now trying to figure out what is the deal with him. Better timing then with Laremy "Bong Mask" Tunsil but never a good thing to have stuff turning up the week of the draft.
Normally I wouldn't, but I was saying the same thing and getting ridiculed for it on the Browns boards....SO, this time, I'll just nod in agreement.
I can't stand Sapp either, but I have a similar concern Irish. I have Solomon Thomas and Jamal Adams both ahead of Garrett on my big board because of concerns over his level of 'get after it', along with a couple other minor issues that creep up on tape.
Sapp is saying what everyone (fans and Browns management) doesn't want to hear because he has the talent but... what he said.
I fall into the category of I do not care what sapp says, or how good his flex seal works underwater.
BREAKING Adrian Peterson, Saints finalize two-year contract Adrian Peterson found a new home. The face of the Minnesota Vikings for a decade finalized a two-year deal with the New Orleans Saints that will pay Peterson $7 million, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source informed of the situation. The deal included $3.5 million guaranteed in 2017. Rapoport added the Saints were the only team to formally offer a deal to Peterson this offseason. In a statement to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the veteran running back said he fully evaluated the Saints' chances to compete this season and came out convinced he could contribute to a winner. "I am excited to be joining the New Orleans Saints," Peterson said. "I'm really looking forward to this opportunity. Most importantly, I chose this team because it just felt right within my spirit. Additionally, my wife and family added their confirmation with the same feelings. On offense, it goes without saying that the Saints are really solid behind Drew Brees. I feel like my skill set can make them even more dominant as a unit. "They have a great offensive line, which is something that stood out to me as well. I could tell from talking to head coach Sean Payton over the last two weeks that he did his due diligence in evaluating how I could contribute. I also did a lot of homework on the defense as well. While I know that injuries have played a role in performance, I also see areas of potential with a lot of younger guys having the ability to step up. Lastly, it goes without saying that the Saints have an amazing fan base and I look forward to making them proud and creating everlasting memories." Peterson's average salary of $3.5 million places him 22nd among running backs this year, per Spotrac.com, behind the likes of Frank Gore ($4M), Theo Riddick ($3.85M), Bilal Powell ($3.75M) and Ryan Mathews ($3.6M). Peterson will also earn less than incumbent Saints starter Mark Ingram. Ingram, a former first-round pick, is coming off the best season of his career, earning 1,043 yards on 205 carries for a 5.1-yard per tote average with six touchdowns. He also added 46 receptions for 319 yards and four receiving scores. Ingram's increased receiving production over the past few years should help his attempt to fend off Peterson for carries.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/sport...ppers-nfl-draft-stock-20170425-story,amp.html more on jabrill peppers and the draft... AP to the EAGLES. haha, i knew that wasn't happening.
Peppers picked a real fine time to mess up. He has his future swinging in the balances and made a big time bad choice.
Never fails to amaze me how so often top prospects do the dumbest things so close to the draft. Peppers, Foster and Brantley so far in just the past month or so, right...?
So the Pats decline to offer AP a contract and instead give Mike Gillislee 4M in 2017 and surrender a 5th round pick. Saints get AP for 3.5M in 2017. Interesting.
Damn it! Now the question of 'just how high will Gareon go' will never be properly answered. Double Damn it!! I have to update my warboard again. TRIPLE DAMN IT!!! I just put out my last mock of the season! *WALL*
