Even aside from escaping the punishment that should be added to his sentence, he murdered 2 people and got away with it.

 

PHOENIX -- Authorities say former NFL player Todd Heap was moving a truck that ran over and killed his 3-year-old daughter in the driveway of their suburban Phoenix home.

The Arizona Republic reported that police say Heap was behind the wheel of the truck when he accidentally struck the girl while moving the vehicle forward outside their home in Mesa on Friday afternoon.

Officials said the girl was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Mesa police said impairment was not a factor.

Heap played in the NFL for the Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals. He played at Arizona State University, where he was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection.

Heap and his wife Ashley have four other children. In 2010, Heap had a pediatric center in Baltimore named after him, according to the Washington Post.

 

That's tragic... cant even imagine it, wow.

 

This is the saddest thing I have read on the sports pages in my lifetime. I can't imagine having to deal with the death of one of my children, but to be behind the wheel will haunt this poor soul the rest of his life. Seems he has a strong support group to begin the process of healing, I only hope God grants him the strength to be strong and learn to simply love what is here and the comfort of his daughter's spirit in his heart...

This really hit me hard this morning...text all 4 of my kids as soon as I read it.

Prayers sent to his family as well.

 

Terrible tragedy, not sure if there is any coming back from that. Feel so bad for him and his family.

 

Well thank fricking God the press is trying to contact Todd Heap. I mean if my family was going through the biggest tragedy in our lives, I sure as hell would want to answer my phone and social media to talk to a complete stranger trying to profit off my pain.

The cover-up of these two murders was the motive behind the murder of Odin Lloyd. You can bet your ass this verdict is going to factor into an appeal of that conviction.

 

Lock him up and throw away the key! I have never seen any type of remorse from his facial expressions. He's a killer and a danger to society!
