Browns looking to restructure Brock and eat at least half of his contract and give a late round pick so they can get a 3rd in return.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Buccaneers have signed Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson to a three-year, $35 million deal which includes $20 million guaranteed
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Cincinnati held onto pending free agent cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick
I wonder if the Eagles will bet on Jeffery as well and not draft a WR early. CB or RB seem like possible early eagles targets. Could possibly be the first team to grab a OL in the first.
Russell Okung is staying in the AFC West. Two weeks after the Broncos declined Okung's 2017 option, the veteran left tackle agreed to terms with the Chargers on a four-year, $53 million contract with $13.25 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via a source informed of the deal. The Bolts edged out the Vikings, who were also courting Okung to join freshlysigned Riley Reiff.
Hmmm...not sure. Jeffrey is a one-year deal - the possibility exists he misses a bit of time (he's managed to start just 50 of 64 games since his rookie year), or he performs so well he prices himself out of the market for 2018. I still think the Eagles grab a receiver fairly early. I think what filling to hole (at least temporarily) at WR does is give Philly the flexibility to draft the best player on their board, and not be pigeon-holed to just CB or WR. A favorite name now seems to be Dalvin Cook.
well Will, they got more work to do on the o-line and at CB and RB. I read on CBS and yahoo.com that they are not near a SB run. True, but why not try and make yourself better all around? these moves do that. I know Jeffrey is a 1 yr deal, but if he's healthy and has a solid year, it could parlay him into resigning longer term. and by not getting Cooks, they still have the draft pick. they're headed in the right direction at least.
now they don't have too. they got some wiggle room to get a top player at cb or o-line. drafting a rookie wr in the first few rds would surprise me considering their other needs.
He did have a larger deal with more annual money, guaranteed money and years from at least the Vikings. He wants to play in Philly and the Eagles will surely pay him if he can stay in the game.
Hmmm...not sure if it's wanting to play in Philly so much having Carson Wentz throw him ball (as opposed to Mike Glennon or Sam Bradford), giving him an opportunity to bet on himself and cash in NEXT year. Either way - it's a nice one-year look-see for the Birds.
i hope can axe. him and smith would be a nice duo for a few years. add matthews and its a nice trio...
The Eagles can always Tag him next year. It would cost at least $16.8M. It is around the number of what the Tag will be for every other WR.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Panthers have traded defensive end Kony Ealy to the Patriots along with a third-round pick, and will get New England?s second-round pick in return.
