Joe McNight's killer has not been charged and likely will never see jail as there probably isn't any evidence that he did anything illegal. In Louisiana you are allowed to commit homicide to prevent trespassing. If Joe physically attempted to get into the man's car then the man was allowed to prevent the trespassing by use of homicide and he had no legal expectations to flee as the "Stand Your Ground" law gives him the right to not have to attempt to flee in this situation.

My God in Canada you are getting live for killing a guy when you don't need to. But in Louisiana and other states you can even provoke someone to get away with murder.


I may be missing a bunch of things but this is a synopsis.

 

Wait a minute. There are 22 player on the field at one time and now we need 8 refs to make sure that everyone is behaving ???? Where does it stop ?? Aren't we seeing too many flags now ??? Let the boys play !!!!!

 

One of the problems IMHO is the game has gotten faster and some of the Officials have too many things to keep track of. You add officials and you can less what each one is responsible for. Making it more likely to get calls correct.

 

I would rather they hire a crew of 5 full time referees in charge of instant replays in a room somewhere at the league offices. They don't need an extra one on the field, they need competent ones to overturn mistakes made.

Nelson Agholor expected to play in place of Jordan?Matthews

An injury at wide receiver is forcing the Eagles to make a change.

Jordan Matthews is expected to miss today?s game against the Bengals, and that means Nelson Agholor will be active, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Agholor has struggled mightily since former Eagles coach Chip Kelly took him in the first round last year, and last week he was a healthy scratch. This week he?ll get a shot at redemption.

Matthews leads the Eagles in catches (57), yards (686) and touchdowns (three). The Eagles will also be without their leading rusher, Ryan Matthews, so injuries could take a toll on Philadelphia?s offense. (PFT)

 

The Colts will have quarterback Andrew Luck on Monday night.

Luck doesn?t appear on the final injury report in advance of the game against the Jets, which means that he has been cleared to play, 12 days after landing in the concussion protocol following a win over the Titans.

The franchise quarterback missed Indy?s Thanksgiving night visit from the Steelers, which the Colts lost to fall to 5-6.

 

I'm seeing Houston ghosts on the field in the Packers vs Texans game. All for the 1st down line technology in the snow.

 

Bang up game between 49ers and Bears as neither completed a pass in the first quarter. Of course only 3 passes (combined) were attempted which seems even sadder than the fact there wasnt a completion.

 

Packers disappearing as well.

 

The Atlanta Falcons just pissed off every team in the AFC playoff hunt.
