    Schaub...?

  3. ravens_R_#1 Legend Ravens

Can't really mention Roethlisberger and Bell since the other poster is specifically talking about the starting and backup QB only

Matt Schaub is Ryan's back up. He QB'd the Texans for a few years, I think.

I don't think the question mark was because he didn't know who Schaub is...I think it is because he knows exactly who Schaub is...

Schaub is still practicing with an NFL team?

    Tommy and Jimmy baby!

  7. M.I.A. Unknown Soldier MIA's C.P. Falcons

Yeah. He makes a decent back up. Of course I don't want him to have to prove it...

    BB agrees, apparently...

"If you?re missing the quarterback, you can still get it and certainly we have a good quarterback in Jimmy, and Jimmy can go out and run everything that Tom can run. We?ve seen that. So I?m not saying that he?s not capable or qualified to do it. He is, and he does a great job of it. When we put Jimmy in there, it?s really seamless. Unless you were actually looking at the position, and if you just could just block out that position and say, ?Which guy was in there at quarterback?? I don?t know if you would know a lot of times."

Except he missed half the games he was supposed to start in.

But if Brady goes down, we can surmise based on the two games he did play that Garoppolo should play very well (and as noted BB seems pretty confident of that, as well). Whereas if Dak were to go down, we have no idea what level Romo will be at post-injury.

So I'll take the guy who played excellently for two games over the guy who hasn't played at all.

    Brady > Prescott right now

    Garoppolo > Romo right now

Emphasis on right now. Since the topic was the best 1-2 punch right now.

  11. gidion72 Legend Steelers

When do the Patriots start thinking about moving on to Garoppolo?

Actually, if we are comparing this year's work, as seems what you are doing with Romo vs. Garoppolo...

Then, based on the Cowboys and Patriots team as a whole:

    Prescott 8-1>Brady 4-1

After all, I hear arguments on hear CONSTANTLY, the only thing that matters is wins...even when it comes to individual QBs

  13. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

Well that's not what I was arguing, so whatever pops your corn.

Dak's been great and all, but even his momma knows he ain't a better QB than Brady right now.

  14. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

Brady's not going anywhere. They're already preparing to move on to Brissett as the #2.

So your contention is that Jimmy Garoppolo is a better QB than Tony Romo RIGHT NOW???

  16. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

Yes. Garoppolo has played two games this season at a very high level. Romo hasn't played in a year. If/when he comes back and shows that he's still Romo, I'll revise my position.

  17. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

To be fair, I misread the initial statement - I thought it said Dak and Zeke (talking about a 1-2 QB-RB punch).

    Yeah, Dak-Romo is the best.

    Schaub sucks.

  18. gidion72 Legend Steelers

Brady is 38 now, when he hits the age wall it won't be pretty. He could hit it at anytime now.

  19. M.I.A. Unknown Soldier MIA's C.P. Falcons

Well, to be fair I never disputed any of that. I just added Ryan-Schaub to the mix as the #3 tandem.

LMAO! Thanks for the laugh at the end of the week.
