Ben is 2 years younger also. The Tebow Game was on the defense. Just as the Dallas game was on Sunday. Ben won 2 SBs and lost 1. That is how to compare QBs when it comes to being on the edge of the HOF or not. Ben will make make it in, Romo is on the edge about to fall off.....So when you compare the 2, Ben has made it to the BIG Game 3 times and Romo has never came close. I'm not saying Romo is a bad QB. I'm probably saying he never had the team around him most of the time. Just like the Tebow Game will be hung on Ben, so will Romo's missing games every year and he's not going to get stronger or any better at his age. I think he still will be good if he can ever play a whole season. Odds are against it at 36 going on 37......
With only 23 points put up by the offense it wasn't exactly all on the defense also Ben's one interception came in Steelers territory and led to 3 of the Broncos 29 points. He also was sacked 3 times for 30 yards on the final drive in the 4th quarter 2 of which (one for -11 and one for -15) occurred after they had made it into Broncos territory ensuring that they did not have a shot at a field goal to win the game. They would have needed to gain some yardage before attempting a kick as the first one occurred on the Bronco's 45. If he takes no sacks and they gain nothing it would have been a 62 yard attempt far longer than Suis (long is 53) had ever made of course but it was in Denver. With no time on the clock and the high altitude you gamble that he somehow hits it. Sure there is the risk they Broncos could have put a man back the kick is short and he takes it to the house but that would have been about the same as they actually lost anyways.
I thought we were discussing things that weren't ancient history though? *SCRATCH* Are we talking recent, or not? Because if we go that route, they are both getting old and will be moving on to their second career sooner than later... Don't get me wrong, we haven't sniffed a competent QB in two decades around our parts...but this argument is going to go nowhere as far as the question of who is "worth more" at this point of their career...As bad as the Browns are currently, I wouldn't pay their wages to sit the bench hurt. Ben's only played 16 games twice in the last 8 years and Romo has only done it three times in the same span. They both look old...they aren't aging as well as Brady did. No longer worth the big contract money imho.
Carolina Panthers defeat the New Orleans Saints, 23-20. Kuechly carted off field, remains under concussion evaluation...
Prayers for Kuechly. I hope he's okay. Meanwhile, the Falcons take a 1.5 game lead in the South. If the Bucs lose Sunday, it goes to 2 games. Ha!
Roethlisberger and Bell need to be mentioned. 'Boys could be back having their "triplets" with Dez, Dak and Zeke.
i don't know if he was crying or so out of it, he didn't know where he was. he looked lost on the cart. very scary and sad.
