  1. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

Then, at least, he wouldn't have to worry about bobbling an extra point snap in a playoff game.

Romo is 36 yrs. old.....How many more years do think he'll play? 2 years? And always injured! No team will give up much for him and his bad back for 2 years imo......

The Steelers will never stop the run now.......He's their defensive leader and best run stopper up front. And that ain't saying a whole lot with him in the lineup......

Romo is a fragile as a Ritz Cracker. The end is near for him. Igloo is right about how much is he worth via trade?

Read an article that said a 3rd rounder might be about right - that's what Favre went for later in his career. Favre was older than Romo is now, but Romo clearly has more injury issues.

It might depend on who - and how many teams - are interested. If it's someone like Denver, who could see themselves as just a solid QB away (assuming they fall short this year), they might think a 3rd is do-able.

And he would have to stay healthy the whole season!

Maybe Tony will just play backup this season and hope he gets a ring. I cant see him at his age with health concerns doing anything else. I certainly doubt he'd last a starting gig... I cringe every time I see him get hit.

    Romo = 'broadcast booth bound'

Edit: And most of the Broncos problems lie in the OL. Which could mean Romo would be getting hit a lot. He's not fasteither, especially at that age.......

I don't think *he* thinks he's ready for the broadcast booth.

I'm sure your right. I just don't want to see him go out on a stretcher, but its his call along with whoever wants to take the gamble. After all, he is a good QB.

This is very similar to what was being said about Peyton Manning in his final days in Indy. The differences were:
    - In Peyton's case it was not a concern that he'd be taken out on a stretcher so much as that he risked paralysis with a hit.
    - Peyton is a more cerebral QB. This is no knock on Romo since I think Peyton may have been the most cerebral QB ever. (I am not talking IQ per se, but about his ability to process game situations and make adjustments on the fly.)

I think Romo could be a very good acquisition for a team in a "win now 'cause the window's closing" mode.

So the risks were actually higher with Peyton and it paid off big for Denver.

I do not think anyone should be lulled into thinking the Broncos won despite their QB. Statistically he was - I believe - the 50th best, i.e., worst - SB winning QB all time. But the Broncos would not have made the big game without their field general (really a player-coach). With very few exceptions, there are no other QB's that could have lead this team to the championship last year.

Romo is not in Manning's category, but he could be a great upgrade for a team looking to make it over the hump. In fact, I think he could be a candidate to go to Denver.

Agree. If Dallas does part ways with him, I'd hate to see him end up on a bottom-feeding team like the 49ers or Jets.

  13. Lyman "Franchise Asshole" Browns Buckeyes

I wonder if he would consider a backup role in Pittsburgh?

  14. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

    Fix'd it. :)

IF he is going to just be a back up wouldn't he stay in Dallas?

  16. To me Romo chokes in the play offs ad will have limited value in a trade for many teams with a decent QB. That'll eliminate all but about 12 teams. The rest are looking for a franchise QB to get them over the hump. That would be the Browns, Jets, 49ers, and Bears all have immediate needs that could use Romo. Denver was mentioned, but I think they'll stick with Siemean.

The big issue with is that he's made of glass. What ever team gets him better have a good OL. Dallas has one of the best.

  17. Forgive me if this was mentioned: RB Christine Michael was claimed by the Packers today.

  18. Rob Gronkowski is listed as questionable this week with a chest injury.

New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers tonight...

    That's not a bad matchup.

    Romo's last 4 playoff games: 79-of-120 (65.8%) for 926 yards with 6 TDs and 1 INT.

    Just sayin.'
