Rob Gronkowski believed to have punctured lung

Rob Gronkowski could miss some more time for the Patriots this season.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports that the tight end suffered what is believed to be a punctured lung on Sunday vs. the Seahawks. He's expected to miss just one game. The Patriots play the 49ers in Week 11.

Seahawks should of hung 45 on that defense last night. Good thing they tightened it up by shipping Collins out for a bag of rocks. Bill the GM not quite as good as Bill the HC, I'd say.

This is gonna be one of those games Will. I'm betting Dalton poops himself late under the NY lights. but I've been wrong a lot lately. Ask my bookie.

Marvin Lewis blew the game. No ball to him. Kept punting on 4th and inches and then challenges a clear lost challenge but doesn't challenge if Boyd had possession for a TD. It likely wasn't a catch but hey it had a chance of being overturned.

With Thomas Rawls set to come back, the Seattle Seahawks cut Christine Michael.

Kinda shocking considering he was doing well for a while. Starter or bust. The Seahawks have been messing with him his whole career.

So did anyone else hear or read Romo's [del]retirement[/del] speech conceding the starter's role.

This one is all on Christine, as it always has been throughout his career. It was the biggest red flag in his evaluation leading up to the draft.

He was notorious for falling asleep in team meetings and dogging it in practice. His athletic scores are higher than some of the most productive backs in the league and it is all wasted gifts.

The deleted section of your sentence was my exact thoughts on the subject.

That is all true but it's just weird how you can go from Starter to cut because someone returns. So when are they re-signing him?

Rawls return plays a part, but it really is more than just a depth/numbers issue. Prosise can fill the Fred Jackson role, Rawls takes on the workload that Lynch carried (when Thomas is back to 100%), Collins backs him up and apparently they think so little of Michael's performance at this point in the season that he is considered expendable even though it will definitely weaken the overall depth.

I'm wondering why Alex Collins has not been given more of a role and a chance to knock Christine out of the starting spot. I'm assuming they're not comfortable with his knowledge of the offense or his ability to work within it but the first rumor that came out about the release of Michael was the belief within the coaching staff that Christine could not be trusted to operate within the framework of the offense, lol. If you know for sure one guy is not handling the assignments and you see it every Sunday, why not at least put some work on the other guy to see if he develops into what you need?

The Los Angeles Rams are finally ready to see if No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff can turn their offense around.

NFL Network's Michael Silver confirmed with Goff that the Rams plan to start the rookie Sunday against the Dolphins in Los Angeles. ESPN first reported the news, and the team later confirmed the switch to Goff. Case Keenum, who started nine games this season, will hit the bench after failing to lead the Rams to a touchdown in New Jersey on Sunday in a 9-6 win over the Jets. (NFL.com)
