One thing is for sure, though: Griffin looks healthy and has certainly stayed in great shape.

His fresh start will be one of the most interesting things to watch for the 2016 season. He was a transcendent player during his rookie season and seemed worth every penny of a massive pre-draft trade that cost the Redskins a treasure trove of picks. (NFL.com)

Right coach and the right system and he takes a team to the playoffs next season.

ESPN was reporting during the Clemson-Bama game A. Brown is doubtful due to his concussion...? If the Steelers have any chance to win, they need both Big Ben and Brown !

There is all kinds of smack and rumors floating around about Brown. The world will know come kick-off time.

Denver just wants to be prepared for Pittsburgh's best.

Unless Romo is injured half the year again, RGIII would be riding the pine in Dallas.

Just thought it made more sense and was less insulting than Johnny Clipboard going to Dallas.

how many more seasons does romo have left ?

I would much rather have RGIII than Johnny Clipboard (although BOTH have their own off-the-field issues). However, JC actually fits Dallas better scheme-wise, so when I hear Jerruh talking about looking at a "young, risk QB," I prepare for the worst.

The Cleveland Browns are staying in Ohio for their next head coach.

The Browns are hiring Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson as the successor to Mike Pettine, NFL Media columnist Michael Silver reported.

"They made me feel comfortable," Jackson told Silver.

Cleveland owner Jimmy Haslam skipped the NFL's Los Angeles relocation vote on Tuesday to lure Jackson, his No. 1 target in the coaching search. Jackson was also a candidate for the 49ers and Giants, but the Browns offered "significant personnel control," NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

Although Jackson is known as a charismatic leader and a "player's coach," he also gets high marks for toughness and offensive strategy.

"I wasn't even playing in 2011 when Hue was head coach, and you don't always feel a part of things. But Hue made it fun every single time," Browns quarterback/wide receiver Terrelle Pryor said earlier this week. "It would be great choice, I can tell you that."

Considering his success with Cincinnati's quarterbacks, it will be interesting to see if Jackson believes he can salvage the future of Johnny Manziel. That, however, does not seem to be the case as Rapoport reports the hire will trigger the end for the star-crossed QB, and the team will move on from Manziel.

Silver, a close friend of Jackson, stated Wednesday on NFL Network that he couldn't imagine any coach "hitching his wagon" to Manziel right now.

With the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Jackson has the opportunity to handpick the next face of the franchise. He has close ties to the Bay Area, where Cal's Jared Goff starred in college.

This is a strong hire for an unstable Browns organization in need of direction. (NFL.com)

The tragic life of Lawrence Phillips has come to an tragic end.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation announced Wednesday that Phillips -- a former college star at Nebraska whose NFL career was derailed by off-the-field issues -- was found unresponsive in his cell at Kern Valley State Prison early Wednesday morning. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Phillips was a star tailback on Nebraska's national championship teams in 1994 and 1995. The Rams selected Phillips with the sixth overall pick in the 1996 NFL Draft, but he averaged just 3.4 yards per carry before being released midway through his second season. His NFL career ended in 1999 after short stays with the 49ers and Dolphins. (NFL.com)

P.S. I know where he was and why. Sad life come to an end and some will wish he burns in Hell but personally I'm not one to want the population there to be crazy high. Plus I don't know if he even did it.

[h]New York Giants to hire Ben McAdoo as head coach[/h]

The Giants found a new head coach inside their own building.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the Giants will promote Ben McAdoo to head coach. McAdoo, 38, had been the team's offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

McAdoo was seen as a favorite for the job after Tom Coughlin stepped down following a 12-year run with the franchise. The Giants went 6-10 this season, their fourth straight season without a playoff berth.

McAdoo's promotion provides continuity for Eli Manning and the Giants' offense. Rapoport reported that Manning paid a visit to ownership to vouch for a McAdoo promotion. Some in the Giants' organization have compared McAdoo to a "young Andy Reid", according to Rapoport.

Rapoport additionally reports that Steve Spagnuolo is expected to remain the team's defensive coordinator. The Giants had one of the worst defenses in football last season, though a lack of quality personnel played perhaps the biggest role in the struggles. Expect that to be a major area of focus this offseason as Spagnuolo gets another chance to improve the unit. (NFL.com)
