Here's the thing... Current deals go through 2022, so despite the drop in ratings, I don't think the cap will go down. It may stay the same...but after the election is over, the country will get back to caring about sports instead of politics as they will simply accept whomever wins the election and move on. Right now, we are in an unprecedented, in our generation, headstrong volley for the candidates. Once they decide this thing once and for all, some will be celebrating with their sports, while others will be drowning their sorrows in their sports. This election is a historic distraction, don't take that lightly. But, the American Sports Enthusiast will bounce back with a vengeance once this distraction is over...and that's just over a week away...The aftermath will last less than a month, just long enough for the ratings to jump back up and finish strong.
Eagles player found with marijuana during stop A public official says authorities stopped a Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver for speeding and found a small amount of marijuana. The official familiar with the investigation says Josh Huff was also found with a gun when he was stopped on the New Jersey side of the Walt Whitman Bridge while driving back from Philadelphia Tuesday morning. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to release information about the investigation. It wasn't known if Huff was in custody, if the gun was loaded or if Huff had a permit for the gun. Camden County and Gloucester City officials said they had no record of any incidents involving Huff Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles said in a statement that they are aware of the incident and are gathering more information. Agents for Huff did not immediately return a message seeking comment from The Associated Press. Huff was the Eagles' third-round pick in 2014 from Oregon. He has two touchdowns this season, including a 98-yard kick return. The bridge connects New Jersey with south Philadelphia, near where the Eagles play and practice. (AP)
Eagles Trade Nelson Agholor Tuesday 01 November 40707 Shares Eagles Trade Nelson Agholor The Eagles have traded Nelson Agholor for a 1987 washer and dryer combo set. The team feels like they got the better end of this deal. Go Howie Go! http://www.breakingnews365.net/5812b899e4223/eagles-trade-nelson-agholor.html
That's only for 38 players. They have a boatload of UFAs and they probably have to pay Butler this off season. Unrestricted Free Agents: Donta Hightower Jabaal Sheard Chris Long Sebastian Vollmer Barkevious Mingo Duron Harmon Logan Ryan Alan Branch Martellus Bennett
Lions trade for Buccaneers CB Johnthan Banks ... Seahawks sign ex-Giants DE Damontre Moore... Harvin comes out of retirement, re-signs with Bills ...
The only guy on that list they'll make a concerted effort to retain is Hightower. They'll probably make fair offers to Sheard, Long, and Bennett and they'll all probably leave for better deals elsewhere. Someone will pay Harmon and Branch more than they're worth. Vollmer is getting old and breaks down more than an Italian sports car. Ryan has played his way onto the bench and likely all the way out of town this year. Actually the two UFA's they'll most likely try to keep after Hightower aren't even on that list...Blount and Cannon. And I don't even consider those two all that likely given the former's age and the latter's inconsistency.
Mo Claiborne and Barry Church to miss 4-6 Weeks http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ry-church-morris-claiborne-to-miss-4-6-weeks/ Tough losses for a scrappy but thin defense that has been surprisingly holding it's own...and then some.
We'll finally be able to properly say who is better. It was a huge debate point at draft time. Slay made a late push and many here rated him higher than Banks who was ranked fairly high. I believe I was on the Banks side.
Heh, imagine if we stole back JC to give a better chance of Browns having that compensatory third. I've seen a couple of people claim it's a second if JC signs long term but, haven't heard that from a reliable source yet. That would be HUGE....but we'll see. Seems like too much. That'd be the 33rd pick most likely.
Never know, if we keep getting All Pro players for late 3rd round draft picks, we might turn this around in a year! *THUMBSUP* We have another 11 picks AFTER you get the 3rd round comp pick...5 of which are in the first 3 rounds...(2) in the first and (2) in the second... After the Collins pickup, our defense is desperate for a FS, a RT and a CB...We can add another WR to that mix in those first four picks and this team could be ready to compete IF they pick correctly. Corey Coleman and Terrell Pryor are actually perfect for a short concise passing game which Kessler has proven he can run...Now, do I think he is the future of this franchise? Absolutely...as a career backup...But, I also don't see the QB of the future in this draft. We can't draft one, just because we have a high draft pick. It has to be the right one. Otherwise you just set the team back by not taking a guy that might make a difference.
