Landry Jones wasn't half bad yesterday. He made some solid plays. The future without big Ben looked bad, but he-Jones looks solid enough to win a few games for the Steelers.

 

The third column is ugly. But, that was pretty ****ing funny.

I tried to watch the game last night, but I accidentally slipped into a coma.

 

Why is Denver booing the guy who left after their GM crapped on him? They should be thanking Brock N' Roll because there's no third Lombardi without him.

That was a pretty awful weekend of football. I'd say, offhand, the ratio of crap games to entertaining games was at least 2 to 1.

Eagles kicking the tires on a trade for Torrey Smith ?

 

Was listening to them discuss this on Philly sports talk this morning. They said it was unlikely to happen, gave it about a 5% chance of it happening. Reason? Trades are just so infrequent in the NFL.

I think that line of reasoning is a cop-out. The Niners are rumored to be looking to cut spending, and they're going nowhere this year - getting a draft pick to help rebuild would help. The Eagles need help at WR, especially where it comes to a deep threat.

Beyond that, Howie Roseman never met a trade he didn't like, ditto Chip Kelly.

I don't know what it would cost the Birds to get Smith, but I know they have an extra 4th rounder.

im sure u will be pumped for the game this Sunday night. Bc Dallas is at home, im sure they're favored. Hope it's a good one. I'm sure I will have some wings and grub and my #11 Wentz t-shirt. No beer though. That would mean a lot of yelling and the cats hide when i start yelling at the TV. They are so happy I quit drinking. It makes their nap time all the more quieter. hahaha.

 

For those of you who had the coverage of the post game show on Fox from the Eagles-Vikings game, Curt Menefee made a comment that practically froze the rest of the group and i think it was in poor taste. Moment after Jay Ajayi tied a record for back to back 200 yr games, Menefee said something like "he ties Williams, Campbell and OJ Simpson." Wonder what he's doing now?

The panel just froze and it seemed like Bradshaw was biting his lip. To me, the comment was in low taste as Simpson is in jail for gun possession and arm robbery.

I was surprised no one had an issue about it...?

 

Early line is Dallas by 4.5. Strange stat: Eagles have won the last three in Dallas, Dallas has won the last 3 in Philly.

Hope Dallas doesn't pull a Vikings and come out of the bye flat.

The Falcons have puked up again. Here goes another mediocre season.

 

coming out flat...i'll take it. i think they're too good for that with EE and Prescott. A tough pair for years to come.

 

The Eagles historically, and recently, suck at home. Everyone but the Steelers seems to have won the last 3 at the Eagles.

 

And likely Dez back this week, too. Getting him and Tyron Smith fully healthy will be big.

Gonna be a good game.
