Steelers DC is already making excuses, saying Patriots push the boundaries. Heh, funny hes saying other coaches are pushing the boundaries. Really though, Tomlin and co should have some respect and just play the game. Bill Cower did and I have a lot of respect for him, he told Ben to stop with the injury BS after the AFCCG loss and said Spygate was nothing and they did basically the thing themselves.
I don't think he is making excuses as much as he is facing the music that without Ben beating the Patriots is an up hill battle with a 7% grade. The only way the Steelers win is to get a few turnovers and run for around 250 yards with Bell & DWill.
In a weird way, I almost think it might be closer without Ben. Not that Ben isn't great, but random backups have given the Pats a handful in the past. Ben usually doesn't do great vs the Pats anyways (not awful but, not up to his usual standard)...his numbers look a bit better than they really are because he gets some garbage time points. Course they'll talk about how you can't overlook a team, but naturally it can happen.
im in a fantasy league that uses 2 QBs. i had to take over a team and they had crap at the second QB spot. I had Hoyer. Now I'm back to the drawing board. Great. That game was tough to watch. Thankfully, the Flyers were on and stunk up the joint till 9:30 and then the Cubs were on past 11...
That's not what he said. As for Tomlin and Co, I think they've been pretty consistent in saying that they expect the standard to be the standard no matter who they put in there at any position. A DC saying that the Pats push the boundaries isn't making an excuse, its stating a fact. He didn't say they cheat. If anything, it should be taken as a compliment, but I understand if your ass twitches every time somebody hints at any potential impropriety by the Pats.
Steelers aren't happy with Suh now and say he kicked Ben... http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/l...to-get-kicked-by-suh-steelers-file-complaint/ Jeez, I think the Steelers are running out of tissues with all their crying....
Already did. They haven't cut Brown yet but they left him home and signed Robbie Gould for this week, at least. I'd be surprised if that arrangement doesn't become permanent soon.
Seeing it's Steelers week, and, well I have love for all my Steeler brethren, so I'm not going to get into Tomlin he/said she said game(even if he is a whiney biatch). I did hear an interesting stat yesterday on the radio though. The Steelers have won exactly one playoff game since Feb of of 2011. Mr. Tomlin is starting to enter Marv Lewis territory there. Oh yeah the one win came against the even more playoff inept Bengals when the Bungals handed them that WC game last year.
I realize you're just trying to troll here but I'll never understand the last part of that. If Burfict doesn't knock AB's head off ("hand them" 15 yds) the Steelers had the ball at the Cincy 47 with :18 seconds needing a 20 yard pass play with Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant on the field. This would give them a 45yd FG attempt to win. Now if you want to say AB was out of the game that's fine but you then the ball is at the Cincy 32 with :18 seconds because you can't have one without the other. That'a a 49yd FG attempt to win the game if they don't gain another yard after the Burfict penalty. Did the Pacman penalty make it much easier? Hell yes it did but the game wasn't over if Burfict and Jones don't do what they always do. The Steelers had time to win the game.
Removed the audio of what? When I said "That's not what he said.", it was in response to the part of your statement that I bolded. I can't imagine that Cowher's comments on Spygate from several years ago were somewhere on the Steelers site and have been strangely removed all of a sudden.
