This isn't even a rumor, it's a suggestion for a solution.

The Browns aren't looking to trade Thomas and Joe isn't looking for a trade. Contrary to popular belief, Joe Thomas loves the city of Cleveland and wants to be one of the heros that bring a championship...er, um...and FOOTBALL championship, to the City of Cleveland and their fans.

This would take one helluva an offer. One which I don't think the Eagles could afford...

How many first round picks do they have in 2017? It's going to take one for Joe Thomas...

 

Iggles didn't have one until they got one from Minnesota for Sam Bradford (still shaking my head over that, despite the success Minny is having). Right now, that looks like that's going to be a low 1st.

 

and whomever acquired thomas (act of God or not) would need to pay his remaining salary. he signed a $84 million dollar deal in 2011, so he has a bunch of coin left on it? not happening...

 

Not really, what's left of that deal is reasonable. With roster and workout bonuses, he is $10M in each of 2017 and 2018

 

Knile Davis is no threat to Lacy's starting job. Starks is more seriously hurt than the Packers are letting on. They needed a backup for depth, that is all this move is.


Edit : Just saw the latest on Lacy, his ankle is worse than I thought as well. He will start immediately Thursday night and Lacy could be out multiple weeks......

 

but like you said plus multiple draft picks, including a top one. who has all of that to spare ?

No Big Ben it looks like, can't overlook the Steelers though. Certainly would hate to get tripped up there and let the Steelers get in the way of homefield. I like our chances of getting back to Houston with homefield a lot. Do not want to go to Denver under any circumstance.

 

This is probably making a mistake as I didn't watch the game, but I was told from a Seahawks fan that there was a pretty bad PI just before that play that wasn't called. Again, didn't see it but if that was true sounds like one of them makeup calls. The Seahawks fan said Kerse was dragged down well before the ball got there...

 

I didnt see the game either but this is the first I have heard of a possible make up call. You would think someone would be pointing it out (other than a seahawk fan). Even the mouth hasnt said anything about them not getting a PI call instead he called out the NFL for editing tapes and removing a Jones head slap that he felt should have been called before the even got to the controversial PI.

 

Crushing blow for Atlanta because I don't think anyone is winning in Minnesota (I don't think the Patriots would even win there). But, the Falcons have been good on the road. Maybe we shouldn't put too much faith in Sam Bradford.

 

im not. after years of seeing him in philly, the skip passes are coming...

the def is carrying this team. wait till the Philly faithful see him on Sunday. He will never be booed and harassed more in his life than this upcoming Sunday.

 

I bet he's looking forward to it. He will have something to say with his arm. This gives him a chance to show what he can do on a solid football team. This is going to be real fun to watch. Im sure the Eagles defense is going to take some shots on him... I just hope he can stay healthy.

 

with his arm? waiting to see that for 2 years! i mean the guy lit it up at Oklahoma and somehow his arm strength and zip vanished when he played for the Eagles.

 

Im not going to proclaim him a cannon, but he puts the ball up down field with accuracy this season. Its been a blessing to the struggling run game lately.

All I know is I wish it was a national game! I really want to see this game, but I have youth football at the time so I can't watch streaming, and it isn't on here as a alternate game, so I can't DVR it...

Good luck on both sides, I really think this could be the game of the week.
