More terrible news for the Browns, per usual. CLEVELAND -- Browns running back Nick Chubb broke his foot Sunday in the third quarter of Cleveland's 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said. The injury ends Chubb's season with three games remaining. Stefanski said he believed Chubb's foot was stepped on. Chubb's last snap came with 10:59 remaining in the third quarter, one play after an 8-yard run.
Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes to Romeo Doubs and Josh Jacobs rushed for 94 yards and another score as the Green Bay Packers defeated the host Seattle Seahawks 30-13 Sunday night. The Packers (10-4) limited Seattle (8-6) to 208 yards of total offense, forced two turnovers and had seven sacks. Love was 20 of 27 for 229 yards with two TDs and no interceptions. Doubs made three catches for 40 yards. Doubs, who missed the previous two games with a concussion, made a diving catch in the back of the end zone on a 22-yard pass from Love with 4:59 remaining to clinch the victory. Seattle's Geno Smith was 15-of-19 passing for 149 yards with no touchdowns and one interception before suffering a right knee injury late in the third quarter. Smith's replacement, Sam Howell, was 5 of 14 for 24 yards with an interception. Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a game-high 10 receptions for 83 yards for the Seahawks.
Id really love to see a Steelers and Vikings Super Bowl... that would be beyond awesome in my head. A blast from my past with a little revenge in mind, but there is still a long way to go.
Bite your tongue!!!! @Willie I can live with the Vikings there but you'll have to pick a other opponent, if you know what I'm sayin'....
Do you really want to see somebody go 0-5 in the Superbowl?!?!? And just think about how long we'd have to hear @Willie bitch and moan after the Bills won.
Dan Campbell confirms David Montgomey will have season-ending knee surgery Running back David Montgomery’s first season with the Lions is over. Word on Monday was that Montgomery has an MCL injury that might keep him out for the rest of the campaign and Lions head coach Dan Campbell confirmed that Montgomery is done for the year at his press conference. “Looks like he’s gonna require surgery that’ll put him out the rest of the year,” Campbell said. “He had gotten it at some point yesterday in that game. David’s so tough, man. He continued to play through and got it checked out today.” The Lions also lost defensive tackle Alim McNeil, cornerback Carlton Davis, and defensive back Khalil Dorsey to injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Bills. They are added to an already long list of players sidelined for health reasons for a Detroit team that is going to need a bunch of players to step up if they’re going to be able to turn their strong start to the year into a strong finish. Mike McDaniel: We’ll be excited to see Grant DuBose when doctors allow him to fly Earlier today, the Dolphins provided a positive update on receiver Grant DuBose, who suffered a serious head injury during Sunday’s game in Houston. Coach Mike McDaniel elaborated on the situation during his usual Monday press conference. “We’ll be excited to see him when doctors deem it appropriate for him to fly,” McDaniel told reporters. “I’d also like to commend the collective training staffs — both ours and the Texans’ and the doctors involved for handling a situation as they did. It was imperative for him. McDaniel also addressed the emotional realities for the rest of the team, arising from the nature of the injury and the concern it created. “It’s something that I think the only way you get through something like that is with your teammates,” McDaniel said. “I think we needed each other at that time, and you also have in the back of your mind, knowing Grant and what would make him proud and just the human being that he is, so you’re trying to do right by him and the team and the situation. There’s no really right answer, ultimately. I said last night, you have to kind of lean on the factors of your responsibilities to a lot of different people.” PFT
