When Grover Stewert popped Darnold in the head and got the strip sack that Kenny Moore ran back into the endzone there was a flag thrown on that play... the flag was then picked up and the defensive TD was allowed to stand. Here is the official's statement during the post-game pool. This tells us why the NFL has to do better and use the damn technologies available, like the sky-judge or replays of some sort.

After the game, head coach Nick Sirianni called it “the best play I’ve ever seen.”

“Saquon’s play, what I think is so cool, is there are going to be kids all over the country and all over Philadelphia — I really think about that — trying to make that play and talking about that play and simulating that play as they play backyard football or Pee Wee Football,” Sirianni said, via a transcript from the team. “They aren’t going to be able to make it because I think he’s the only one in the world that can do that. I’m speechless. It was unbelievable, and the way the crowd — when I looked up, like I thought I saw what I saw. As a coach you’re looking at the line sometimes, looking at the secondary, looking at the defense. And so, I thought I saw it, but when I looked up at the big screen and the crowd reacted to it, it was unbelievable. I can’t say enough about how athletic he is.”

Titans lose Lloyd Cushenberry, Quandre Diggs for rest of season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Titans will be without two starters for the remainder of the season, according to coach Brian Callahan.

Sunday's 20-17 overtime win over the New England Patriots was a costly one as starting center Lloyd Cushenberry III suffered a torn Achilles and starting safety Quandre Diggs suffered a foot injury.

Callahan said both players will likely be placed on injured reserve at some point this week.

Cowboys trade for WR Jonathan Mingo

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in his Tuesday interview with 105.3 The Fan that his team was bringing in a receiver. Now we know who that is.

According to multiple reports, Dallas is acquiring second-year receiver Jonathan Mingo from Carolina.

The Cowboys will receive Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick for a 2025 fourth-round pick.

Mingo, 23, was a second-round pick last season, catching 43 passes for 418 yards. But he has been largely phased out of the offense in 2024, catching just 12 passes for 121 yards in nine games — despite being on the field for 56 percent of the club’s offensive snaps.

Mingo has not had a catch since the Oct. 13 loss to Atlanta, and that was for just 1 yard. He’s received four targets over the last two games.

Jones noted that Dallas liked Mingo in the pre-draft process. Now the team will have Mingo under contract through 2026.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said on Monday that the team would make a call about putting quarterback Dak Prescott on injured reserve after further evaluation of his injured hamstring and it sounds like the team has reached a decision.

During a Tuesday morning appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that Prescott will likely be placed on injured reserve. The move would rule him out of at least the next four games.

McCarthy said on Monday that Cooper Rush will start against the Eagles this week. Trey Lance will presumably move up to the backup role after serving as the third quarterback all season.

Lance has never appeared in a regular season game for the Cowboys, but the team could look his way at some point. If Rush can’t lead the 3-5 team to immediate success, there wouldn’t be much hope of a playoff run and it would make some sense to see Lance in game action before making any decisions about the future of the position behind Prescott.

Running back Khalil Herbert is on to Cincinnati.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Bengals have agreed to a trade with the Bears that will add Herbert to their backfield for the rest of the season. A 2025 seventh-round pick will go back to the Bears as compensation.

Herbert bolsters the Bengals backfield in the wake of Zack Moss’s neck injury. Moss missed Sunday’s win over the Raiders and head coach Zac Taylor said he is out indefinitely, which left the team thin behind Chase Brown.

Herbert has only run eight times for 16 yards this season, but had 364 carries for 1,775 yards and eight touchdowns over his first three seasons in Chicago.

Sources: Lions land Za'Darius Smith before NFL trade deadline

The Detroit Lions added a pass rusher before Tuesday's NFL trade deadline, acquiring veteran defensive end Za'Darius Smith in a deal with the Cleveland Browns, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The first-place Lions, who have been seeking defensive end depth since Aidan Hutchinson's leg injury last month, also received a 2026 seventh-round draft selection from the Browns, who landed a 2025 fifth-rounder and a 2026 sixth-rounder in the trade, sources told Schefter.

Smith, 32, has five sacks in nine games this season, his second with the Browns. The three-time Pro Bowler has 65 career sacks over parts of 10 seasons with the Browns, Vikings, Packers and Ravens.
