Good blocking up front for Harris, but Najee is running like a madman at the moment. Then Warren bust's a big one.
Tĥe Giants need a QB bad Daniel Jones is not the one.,.quess you don't get those calls if your a bad team
Nearly the half-way point of the season so I went all 'copy/paste' with Standings and Playoff positions... Still a whole lotta football to be played and with this years injuries and some perineal power houses not looking so powerful, anything can happen and probably will.
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs’s first season with the Texans is reportedly over. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans announced on Tuesday that Diggs has been diagnosed with a torn ACL. Diggs left Sunday’s win over the Colts with a knee injury and went for further tests over the last couple of days. Diggs arrived in Houston via a trade with the Bills this offseason and reworked his contract so that he will become a free agent this offseason. He’ll now head toward his next contract while coming off a serious injury. Diggs had 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in his eight appearances this season. The injury comes at a time when Nico Collins is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, so a once-deep Texans receiving corps has been thinned out considerably. Tank Dell, John Metchie, Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods, and Steven Sims are the remaining receivers on the 53-man roster. PFT
New Ravens wide receiver Diontae Johnson is a very cheap acquisition in Baltimore. The Panthers are paying most of Johnson’s remaining salary in the deal, and the Ravens will only have to pay Johnson about $625,000, according to Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com. The trade was Johnson and the Panthers’ sixth-round pick for the Ravens’ fifth-round pick. So the Panthers are going to pay more than $3 million in cash and cap space and give Johnson away just to move up maybe 15 spots in the middle of Day 3 of the draft. The trade terms and contract adjustment make clear how eager the Panthers were to move on from Johnson as they give up on this season and attempt to build for the future. It also suggests that the rest of the league doesn’t think much of Johnson, if that’s all the Panthers could get after shopping him around. Now the Ravens will hope Johnson can make a difference in a season that they hope will end up in the Super Bowl. Even if Johnson doesn’t do much, he seems likely to be worth the cost. Because he hardly cost anything. PFT
Browns leading tackler out vs. Chargers with neck injury The Cleveland Browns will be without Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah for their Week 9 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, per Cory Kinnan of Browns Wire. Owusu-Koramoah suffered a neck injury on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens when he collided with Ravens running back Derrick Henry. While he was immobilized and carted off the field, Owusu-Koramoah had movement in all his extremities and was hospitalized overnight as a precaution. Leading the team with 61 total tackles, Owusu-Koramoah has been a force on defense this season. For a team that has struggled offensively until their Week 8 performance against the Ravens, the linebacker has been a constant presence for the Browns defensively. Along with his 61 total tackles, he has three sacks, one forced fumble and an interception this season. Owusu-Koramoah may not be the only key player on defense with injury concerns. Cornerback Denzel Ward, who leads the league in passes defended with 12, suffered his sixth documented concussion since entering the NFL in 2018, according to CBS Sports. Until their Week 8 victory, the Browns offense had struggled mightily. Defensively, the team has allowed 21 or fewer points in five of their eight games, showing the importance of players like Owusu-Koramoah and Ward. As the Browns bye week looms in Week 10, getting healthy on defense is extremely important, especially considering the uptick in offensive production under Jameis Winston on Sunday. YARDBARKER
Wilson's catch last night was a thing of beauty. He worked at creating space, jumped for air, concentrated on the catch and somehow landed his legs right where they needed to be. A lot happened in a couple seconds, and he nailed it.
