What a BS call on the block by the Steelers, too bad the refs and replay officials are blind.

Its cool to see the Steelers find some offense to go along with that defense... if this continues, watch out for the Black n Gold.

Chunk plays. That's what Russ brings. The more he plays the better he should get. And the more he plays the more Fields can watch and understand how the offense needs to be run. He will see the field again I'm sure.

The one thing that I would do is put Fields in on short yardage plays

Completely agree. We’ve all seen the talent in Fields, but Wilson can help him along just by playing. Getting the visual, in person, view should teach him on what to look for.

Report: Mike Evans to have MRI on hamstring Tuesday

Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin’s injury late in Monday night’s loss to the Ravens drew plenty of attention, but it wasn’t the only loss the Bucs suffered in their receiving corps.

Mike Evans came into the game with a hamstring issue, but he was able to nab a 25-yard touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield in the first quarter. Mayfield looked Evans’s way in the end zone again later in the first half and Evans stayed down after failing to make a catch while being hit by Ravens cornerback Brandon Stephens.

Evans aggravated the hamstring injury on that play and was ruled out. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Evans is set for an MRI on Tuesday as the team gathers more information about the extent of the injury.

Godwin is expected to miss the rest of the season and any extended absence for Evans would force Mayfield and the rest of the offense to make some serious adaptations as they try to stay competitive in the NFC playoff race.

Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin suffered a dislocated ankle late in Monday night’s loss to the Ravens and he’s set to have surgery on the injury soon.

NFL Media reports that Godwin will have an MRI to determine the full extent of the injury before having surgery later this week. The expectation is that Godwin will miss the remainder of he season as a result of the injury.

Ravens running back Derrick Henry had another big game on Monday night, rushing 15 times for 169 yards, and he’s on pace for a single-season yardage total that no running back in NFL history has touched.

Through seven games, Henry has 873 rushing yards. That puts him on pace for 2,120 yards in 17 games, which would set a new single-season record for rushing yardage. The current record of 2,105 yards was set by Eric Dickerson in 1984, in a 16-game season.

Henry can also become the first player in NFL history to have two 2,000-yard seasons. Henry ran for 2,027 yards for the Titans in 2020.

Henry will turn 31 years old this season, and last year he looked at times like he had lost a step. But he’s playing as well as he ever has now, and the Ravens are very pleased with their high-profile free agent signing.

Sources: Lions WR Jameson Williams facing 2-game suspension

DETROIT -- The bumpy start to Jameson Williams' career continues, as the Detroit Lions wide receiver is facing a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy, sources told ESPN on Monday night.

Williams, 23, is second on the Lions in both receiving yards (361) and touchdowns (3) -- behind only All-Pro wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown -- and was off to a strong start in his third season.

Williams said he was disappointed with the current suspension but that he has "no choice but to take it on the chin."

"I'm in good spirits just ready to get back with [my] brothers ASAP," Williams told ESPN via text.
Lions coach Dan Campbell said during a radio interview Tuesday morning on 97.1 The Ticket that he couldn't elaborate on the suspension until the league formally announces the decision.

Campbell added, however, that the Lions have the mindset and personnel in place to overcome the absence of Williams.

"All I can tell you is we're prepared to not have him," Campbell said. "And we'll be fine."

The Lions (5-1) are coming off a thrilling 31-29 road victory over the Minnesota Vikings (5-1) in Week 7, but Williams was targeted only once for minus-4 yards.

As the No. 12 pick out of Alabama in the 2022 draft, Williams' NFL career has kicked off in a less-than-ideal manner. He missed the first 11 games of his rookie season because of an ACL injury suffered in college, then was suspended four games for violating the NFL's gambling policy in his second season.
