Tyreek Hill, Dolphins agree to new deal worth $90 million over next three years Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins have agreed to a new contract that will pay the wide receiver $90 million over the next three years, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported Saturday. The deal -- which does not add any new years to his existing contract -- adds on $65 million in guaranteed money, Rapoport added. Hill was just voted No. 1 on the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2024 list. Per multiple reports, Hill has agreed to a restructured deal with the Dolphins that will pay him $90 million over the next three seasons with $65 million guaranteed. While Hill did not have any new years added to his contract, his four-year total of fully guaranteed money is now $106.5 million — the most for any receiver. Hill’s deal was previously set to pay him $19.665 million in 2024, $22.935 million in 2025, and $45 million in 2026 — though the final year of the deal was unlikely to ever be executed. per/PFT
Rams have three starting offensive linemen injured and considered week-to-week The Rams are down three starters on their offensive line. Rams head coach Sean McVay described left tackle Alaric Jackson, right tackle Rob Havenstein and left guard Jonah Jackson as all “week-to-week.” Jackson and Havenstein both suffered ankle injuries in practice while Jackson is dealing with a bruised scapula. McVay said his concern is for the players’ health and he sees this as an opportunity to get the backups more reps. “You sit there and you start saying ‘Oh man, you’re bummed out.’ And it’s like how selfish of me. What about these guys?” McVay said, via TheRams.com. “I know they want to be out here. I think the important thing is let’s pour into the guys that are not able to be out here and the ones that are able to be out here. So we’ll be better when those guys are back, whenever that timetable is. In the meantime, we owe it to ourselves and to those other guys to be able to pour into them.” The Rams have some young and inexperienced linemen that McVay wants to get a look at in camp. “In the meantime, we’re going to learn about some guys and I mean it’s a Rolodex of guys that are in there right now, even with that first group. And I think it’s only going to force those guys to mature and accelerate their learning process,” McVay said. All three injured starters have a chance to be back for Week One. PFT/SMITH ________ __________________ Seems like i say this every Camp, year after year, but injuries are ridiculous these days. Im not sure what can be done about it, except players need to stay conditioned in the off-season and practice smart. Stafford certainly doesnt want to hear this stuff about his o-line.
LINEBACKER COLLINS GOT PAID... The Cardinals are locking up Zaven Collins before he enters his fourth NFL season. Collins signed a two-year, $14 million extension with the Cardinals, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday. Of the $14 million, $11.25 million is guaranteed at signing, Rapoport added.
DeAndre Hopkins' knee injury will sideline him for "several weeks," coach Brian Callahan confirmed to reporters Saturday, but the receiver did avoid surgery. WR Treylon Burks will have the opportunity to step up.
The headliners are heartbreaking, but there are many “injuries” this time of year designed simply to keep key pieces off the field to avoid real injuries. Always veterans who they know step in ready to play. when I hear bruised scapula, I think I have 4 reserve guards that I need to KNOW who can step in if we suffer an injury. JJ told a trainer he had a little soreness below his shoulder/back.. no risk, rest and let’s see what we’ve got.
Seahawks optimistic QB Geno Smith returns to practice soon SEATTLE -- Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Saturday that Geno Smith has more testing to undergo but that he expects the quarterback to return to practice within the next few days. Smith, 32, has been sidelined since he hurt his knee and hip on Tuesday, missing Wednesday's walkthrough as well as the following three practices. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday that earlier testing didn't show any significant injury. "I think he's good," Macdonald said after the Seahawks practiced at Lumen Field. "We're still going through that process, but it looks optimistic." Asked whether Smith needs additional testing, Macdonald said, "I believe there's another today." "I think there's a good chance we'll see him next week," Macdonald said. ESPN __________ ____________________ Seahawks play the Chargers next week. They better stick with Sam Howell vs the Chargers, imo. Or even Thirston Howell the III
Rams WR Puka Nacua exits practice early with apparent injury; Sean McVay not sure what happened Bad luck would be better than the luck the Los Angeles Rams have had recently when it comes to injuries. The Rams, already dealing with injuries to three of their starting offensive linemen, suffered another potential blow on Sunday when Pro Bowl wideout Puka Nacua left practice early. The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year exited practice after just over an hour, according to The Athletic. He remained on the sideline for the duration of practice and had a bag of ice wrapped around his right knee. Following practice, Rams coach Sean McVay said that he wasn't sure what happened regarding his receiver leaving the session. Los Angeles is obviously hoping that Nacua did not suffer a significant injury. A fifth-round pick last season, Nacua quickly emerged as an integral part of the Rams' offense. He started his career with consecutive 100-yard receiving performances and ended the year with NFL rookie records for receptions and receiving yards. CBS
Joey Bosa left practice with either a wrist or hand injury... no other details available for now. Star Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a plantar fascia injury in his right foot following Wednesday's practice. He will be in a walking boot for two weeks before beginning a return-to-play protocol, but should be ready for the regular season.
Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette left practice with a lower leg injury on Sunday and head coach Dave Canales said that the first-round pick would be evaluated by medical personnel to determine the extent of the injury. Some results of that evaluation are reportedly in. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that X-rays of Legette’s leg were negative. Rapoport adds that the rookie will also have an MRI before any final determinations of his status are made. Legette missed time in the spring with a hamstring injury, but the current issue is not related to that one. The Panthers will be hoping that any tweak will not keep the wideout out of action for long.
UPDATE... Rams receiver Puka Nacua had to exit Sunday’s practice with the Chargers early, but it sounds like he shouldn’t be out for too long. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Nacua is considered week-to-week with a knee injury that is not considered serious. Nacua left practice after a team drills period and was spotted with a bag of ice on his right knee. Head coach Sean McVay did not have an update on his condition in his post-practice press conference. Nacua, 23, had a record-setting rookie season with 105 catches for 1,486 yards with six touchdowns in 2023. He was a second-team All-Pro and a Pro Bowler.
UPDATE... “The MRI revealed no fractures in the foot, which is fantastic news for us, really, to just find that out,” Canales said. “So, we’re day-to-day with him. I would not expect him to play in this preseason game, just on the side of caution.” The No. 32 overall pick of this year’s draft, Legette exited Sunday’s practice early with the foot issue.
Titans signing free-agent safety Quandre Diggs to one-year deal The Titans are adding another former Pro Bowler to their secondary. Free-agent safety Quandre Diggs is signing a one-year contract with Tennessee, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday. The deal -- which has a base value of $3 million -- includes play-time and performance-based incentives that could make it worth up to $5 million, Rapoport added. Diggs comes to Tennessee having spent the last four-plus seasons out west with the Seahawks, a tenure in which he earned all three of his Pro Bowl nods from 2020 to 2022. In that span he had 14 interceptions, 24 passes defensed and 229 tackles while never missing a start. The 31-year-old had a career-high 95 tackles in his ninth season in 2023, but saw a downturn in other categories with five passes defensed and a single interception over 17 games. Now after an extended free agency, Diggs will look to start anew with the Titans. The move also reunited Diggs with former teammate Jamal Adams. Adams and Diggs played the last four seasons together in Seattle as a starting duo, and then were released on the same day earlier this offseason due to cap space concerns. Adams was signed by Tennessee in early July. Diggs and Adams will be competing for playing time in a safety room that already features Elijah Molden and Amani Hooker, with what's left of training camp and the preseason to try and make their case on a new team. The Titans host the San Francisco 49ers on Aug. 10 to open their three-game preseason slate. NFL.com

Hey, the kickers are getting in on the cash train! Chiefs, Harrison Butker agree to richest deal ever given to kicker in NFL history: reports Harrison Butker signed a deal worth over $25 million The Chiefs and kicker Harrison Butker have reportedly agreed to a four-year deal worth $25.6 million, the most ever given to a kicker in NFL history. His $17.75 million guaranteed is also the most for the position. Butker has been all but automatic in the NFL, despite playing in subzero temperatures in Kansas City. In his seven-year career, he has knocked 89.1% of his field goal attempts and 94.5% of extra-points. This past season was his best, though, as he went 38-for-38 on PATs and 33-for-35 (career-high 94.3%) on field goal attempts. "There’s no place I’d rather be than with the Chiefs, excited to finalize a 4 year extension. To the Heights!" he posted on X. The three-time Super Bowl champion added to his resume back in February by going 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in Super Bowl LVIII, including two game-tying kicks in the fourth quarter (one of which sent the game to overtime with three seconds left). The Browns have offered an update on the condition of edge rusher Za’Darius Smith. Smith was carted off the field at Monday’s training camp practice after getting hurt during goal line work. The Browns announced that Smith suffered a knee contusion and that he will undergo further evaluation on Tuesday. It remains to be seen how long Smith might be out of action, but that diagnosis is better than the worst-case ones that come to mind when a player needs assistance to be taken off the field. Smith is in his second season with the Browns after recording 5.5 sacks last year and signing an extension with the team this offseason.
Also fake news... Two elections, 0 Trump votes.... I can tell you, I also didn't vote for a democrat either.... Don't judge a book by it's cover...
Brandon Aiyuk The 49ers have a framework in place to trade Aiyuk to the Patriots or Browns if he can agree to a contract with either team, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
