Will-like my post says, the NFL as a whole has a massive image problem. violence, domestic battery cases, CTE cases, suicides, ex players suing the league etc. this isn't some rainbow happy league with unicorns running around and everyone singing kumbaya! The NFL has some very serious issues. Does that affect viewership? Probably not, but the league and the game has a not of issues. I watch a lot less games that i used too i know that.

Bell, Burfict lead pack of players returning from suspension Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh... Vontaze Burfict, LB, Cincinnati... Tom Brady, QB, New England... Josh Gordon, WR, Cleveland... Marcell Dareus, DL, Buffalo... Rob Ninkovich, DE New England; Mike Pennel, DL Green Bay; Arthur Jones, DE Indianapolis ___________________________ Lot of talent returning... maybe they will straighten up and fly right. (nah, i doubt it)
Steelers to use RB Le'Veon Bell more as a receiver Le'Veon Bell's return from a three-game suspension provides a playmaking boost to a Pittsburgh Steelers offense that has seen a talent drain due to suspensions, injury and ineffectiveness. Martavis Bryant's yearlong suspension sapped playmaking opposite Antonio Brown. Markus Wheaton struggles with consistency (three drops in Week 3). Sammie Coates has proven to be a one-trick pony. Tight end Ladarius Green, Heath Miller's replacement, hasn't played a snap. Now ascending slot receiver Eli Rogers is "very questionable" to play this weekend because of a turf toe injury. Of the Steelers' current offensive weapons, two of the top three are running backs: Bell and DeAngelo Williams. Pittsburgh will try to get the duo on the field together more versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. Bell, one of the premier pass-catchers out of the backfield, could be used as a receiver in certain formations. "In a way, yes," Roethlisberger said when asked if Bell could play in the slot, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "Listen, we're not going to put him at wide receiver and use DeAngelo at running back, but we will, I think, have them both on the field and move them out of the backfield. "We're not going to take RB off the front of (Bell's) name and put WR, but I definitely think he is one of our best receivers." (NFL.com)

RENTON, Wash. (AP) ? There is zero doubt in Russell Wilson's mind that he'll be able to play Sunday against the New York Jets. Wilson participated fully in practice with the Seattle Seahawks for a second consecutive day Thursday after suffering a sprained MCL in last Sunday's 37-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers. "It was kind of a freak thing, obviously. A scary moment, but tons of rehab and it's been feeling great, feeling strong, so I'll be ready to go," Wilson said. Wilson hasn't wavered in his optimism. He was just as certain after the 49ers victory that he would be able to play this week. It's led head coach Pete Carroll to be equally confident in Wilson's chances to play. "He's pretty determined to get this done," Carroll said. "He's upbeat and feeling good and he's worked really, really hard to do everything to be right and he's going to go."
Dolphins' depleted offensive line pushed around in 22-7 loss CINCINNATI (AP) ? Geno Atkins simply shoved Dolphins guard Jermon Bushrod backward into Ryan Tannehill, knocking him down. The Bengals defense tackle then gently touched the quarterback down, one final indignity on a rough night. Miami's depleted offensive line had a tough time all around during a 22-7 loss to Cincinnati on Thursday night. And given the health of their blockers, the Dolphins (1-3) have a real challenge ahead. "We've got to get it fixed and quick, and by that I mean Monday," Tannehill said. "We're kind of in a dark spot right now. It's squarely on our shoulders." It was so bad that during the first three quarters, Bengals receiver A.J. Green had more yards than the entire Miami offense. Green piled up 166 yards on catches, while the Dolphins managed only 152 total yards. Tannehill was 15 of 25 for 189 yards with a touchdown, an interception, five sacks and a fumble. The Dolphins' running game ? one of the NFL's worst ? managed only 62 yards. "Some of the plays were not ideal, as far as what we were doing," coach Adam Gase said. "Some were busted protections. Ryan has to step up on the fumble. It's everybody taking their turn. I don't think it really mattered who was out right now. We couldn't get out of our own way."
