Trying to buy a house in this market is dreaming enough. Just putting out offers every week and coming up short. Fingers crossed for one later this week - it's our favorite yet!

I like the philosophy, and it’s one I’m in complete agreement with, but I don’t like the team fit.

Not even a little bit. lol

    Browns to sign Ogbonnia Okoronkwo

Cleveland is adding an edge rusher.

According to multiple reports, the Browns will sign former Texans edge rusher Ogbonnia Okoronkwo. The deal is for three years and worth up to $22 million with $12.5 million guaranteed.

Selected by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2018 draft, Okoronkwo signed a one-year deal with Houston last year. He tallied 5.0 sacks last season, all of which came in from Week 13 on. He played 44 percent of Houston’s defensive snaps last year.

After missing his rookie year due to a foot injury, Okoronkwo became a rotational player with Los Angeles. He recorded 4.5 sacks from 2019-2021.

The Browns need some depth at edge rusher, particularly with Jadeveon Clowney not expected to return in 2023.

Jessie Bates to sign four-year deal with Falcons

Safety Jessie Bates has found a new home.

Bates has agreed to a four-year contract with the Falcons, according to multiple reports. The deal is worth $64 million with $23 million due to him in the first year.

Bates was a Bengals second-round pick in 2018 and became an immediate starter for the club.

Cincinnati used the franchise tag to keep Bates last year. While Bates skipped the offseason program and much of training camp before signing the franchise tender, he still played all 16 of Cincinnati’s games in 2022 (the team’s Week 17 matchup with Buffalo was canceled), he recorded a career-high four interceptions along with eight passes defensed and a forced fumble.

Bates now becomes a key player for Atlanta’s defense. In 79 career contests, he’s recorded 14 interceptions and 43 passes defensed.

Last year, the Bengals selected safety Daxton Hill at No. 31 overall in the draft. He played just 131 defensive snaps in 15 games as a rookie.

I didn't have Tim Tebow as a first round QB either, but McDaniels doesn't care about good sense.

You out on Richards in the first?

I and our older son do. My wife could take it or leave it, but we both agreed it's much more preferable than 90 degree days in January and February. We're Florida'd out. And our baby is so damn white that the Florida sun will actually kill him (takes after me).

Someone will draft him in the first round. I think teams are jockeying to not have to take him too early if they can help it - the Raiders signing Jimmy, Seattle paying Geno, Jets courting Rodgers... everyone that knows they won't get Young or Stroud is trying not to HAVE to draft someone else too early. Just my take on it.

Are you personally out on him in the first?

All it takes is one. I suspect some GM has already fallen in love with Richardson.

Not sure if it'll be inside the top 10, but he'll likely go 1st rd IMO.

I agree, and I have no problem with the signing. They needed a solid vet in the fold. Everyone's health will always be a concern. I just don't see this as a positive for Raiders in comparison to what they had with Carr.

David Long agrees to two-year deal with Dolphins

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey won’t be the only new face on the Dolphins defense in 2023.

According to multiple reports, the Dolphins have agreed to a deal with linebacker David Long. It’s reportedly a two-year deal worth $11 million for the former Titan.

Personally, I think he'll go much higher because of his Combine display. With those athleticisms and a good arm, someone will take him 1st round for sure, just based on that. Id be surprised if he didnt go top15. Im sold on him anyways, for what thats worth.

  20. Torgo M.V.P. Manager Falcons

It was a big day today in Flowery Branch...

Falcons extend OG Chris Lindstrom, resign fullback Keith Smith and punter Bradley Pinion, trade for TE Jonnu Smith and agree to terms with both DL David Onyemata and S Jessie Bates.

The other moves were more or less expected, but the trade for the TE was an out-of-nowhere surprise. Smith was good enough with the Titans to get a big free agency contract from New England two years ago, but he hasn't lived up to the lofty expectations there. $6.25 million of his $10 million salary for this season is guaranteed, so New England did well to trade him rather than release him given that they apparently decided he was no longer part of their plans.

Meanwhile... his TE position coach and later his OC when he was having those good years for the Titans? Arthur Smith, who is now the head coach in Atlanta. He's probably a much better system fit for Atlanta than he was for the Patriots. The Falcons probably play more 2- and 3-TE sets than any other team in the league, and now they have Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith as their top two.

The trade price is a seventh rounder.
