I remember when the Eagles drafted Kelly. it was in the mid rounds and a reach but after having so many picks I let it slide since it seemed the OLine coach was given that pick to take anyone he wished without anyone else interfering. He lasted way longer than I ever expected and he didn't leave on a cut or due to letting him walk without an offer.
Chiefs' Charles off PUP list, makes training camp debut ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) ? Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has made his training camp debut. Charles had been on the physically-unable-to-perform list the first three weeks of camp. He underwent surgery last season after tearing the ACL in his right knee in Week 5 against Chicago. He was at practice Tuesday. Charles missed the Chiefs' preseason opener Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks, and it's not clear whether he will play against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday. The four-time Pro Bowl running back worked out a bit during the offseason program, and Charles said all along that he expected to be ready for the season opener against San Diego on Sept. 11.
Bills DT Marcel Dareus is facing a four-game suspension for another violation of the NFL?s substance abuse policy.
It was a ridiculous assumption to think the Center position will not see a large pay spike based on the pattern established over the last several years? That's your position? That it's ridiculous to believe that?
Cardinals have never won a super Bowl. I would say it's ridiculous to discount them from winning Super Bowl LI because of this history.
Oh just answer the question. Hypotheticals are a means of distraction. I stated the Center position has been stagnant and will likely stay that way. You called it a "ridiculous assumption". Is that how you really feel or not?
Oh, stop being such a d-nozzle. Term you actually was used was "slim to none." Trends are fine, but that doesn't mean they're going to stay that way. I believe in getting ahead of the curve.
So get ahead of the curve and buy ocean front property in Arizona before the price goes through the roof.
49ers sign quarterback Christian Ponder The San Francisco 49ers have added depth at the quarterback position. According to ESPN?s Josina Anderson, the 49ers and Christian Ponder have agreed to a one-year contract. ____________________________________ It's a good move with the injury to Thad Lewis...
So you believe the chances are good that a center in the next 10-12 months is going to get signed for significantly more money than 9.1M per season? Are you wanna of those guys that just pokes holes in everyone else's comments without putting anything meaningful in print? I said slim to none because I've done the homework and in the next 10-12 months there isn't a Center candidate that is either 1) worthy of the highest contract in the NFL for a center in the league or 2) due a new contract. So bless us all with your infinite wisdom and tell us who is the center candidate, who in the next 10-12 months will top 9.0M per season (the previous top contract before the Cowboys acted 12 months early). Who is it? Surely, you have more to offer than "Things can change." I mean that's just frickin' riveting. p.s. I asked my 14 year old what a D Nozzle was and he said that was something the 6th graders called each other.
Also, the move was made in part because Kaepernick is apparently suffering from "dead arm". Gabbert is the now their main option. Ponder is a good depth and might actually benefit from Kelly's coaching.
Marcell Dareus facing four-game suspension The Buffalo Bills have taken another hit. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that defensive tackle Marcell Dareus is facing a four-game suspension for yet another violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, according to a source. The team confirmed the suspension via a statement. Rapoport told NFL Network that the ban stems from "either failed or missed drug tests involving his use of marijuana," noting that the Bills learned about the suspension just "two hours" before the public. Dareus issued an apology to his Instagram account shortly before the Bills announced the suspension.
Coming from a guy who thinks there aren't going to be any more elections after this one, I'll take that as a compliment.
Don't fault a man for thinking of his descendants in a couple millennia. There will likely be ocean there one day.
Are you just one of these guys who falls back on the "that's the way things are, so that's the way things will be" attitude? I NEVER said "chances are good" and I NEVER said "significantly" more. Are you just going to make up things to support your argument? A rising tide lifts all boats - with the salary cap going up more than originally anticipated, ALL salaries are going to be going up. Why, since the team had the opportunity, wouldn't they lock in a Pro Bowl center early so they can focus on other things/contracts later on AND save some $$$ in the process? I don't know, Beach. But I'm sure a genius like you KNEW that Rodney Hudson - a guy who was NEVER named to the Pro Bowl or All Pro, btw - was going to ink a contract that made HIM one the highest paid centers in the league. How about a guy like Max Unger? Two-time Pro Bowler, one time 1st team All Pro, up for FA in 2017, and with a team that clearly is focusing on bolstering their O-line talent. Beyond that, we've seen a pretty significant jump in interior lineman taken in the first round of the draft. From 2007-2011, that number was 7; in the last five drafts, it's jumped 11. Clearly, more teams are putting a premium there. Beyond THAT, two more Dallas offensive linemen - Le'al Collins and Zach Martin - are eligible to renegotiate their deals after this coming year. Beyond THAT, re-signing NOW affords Dallas the flexibility to stagger his deal and Tyron Smith's, re-structuring in coming years as contracts for gray-beards Tony Romo and Jason Witten eventually come off the books. You actually had to ASK what a d-nozzle was...? Pretty weak. But since you started in with a patronizing, condescending tact, I figured you were looking for a childish exchange.
