HOF 2016: Ken "Snake" Stabler makes Hall 1 year after death OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) ? Ken Stabler built a Hall of Fame career on moments more than raw numbers. Stabler threw more interceptions than touchdowns, completed fewer than 60 percent of his passes, and posted a quarterback rating of 90 or better just twice in 15 NFL seasons. Yet Stabler was the offensive leader of the great Oakland Raiders teams of the 1970s, helping the team win its first Super Bowl and make it to four other conference championship games in a five-year span. "Sometimes we forget how smart Kenny Stabler was," his former coach John Madden said. "He was a brilliant quarterback with a brilliant football mind. He would set things up. There's a thing that they don't even judge anymore, called field general. Ken Stabler was a true field general. The offensive players really believed and followed him. Anything that came out of his mouth, they totally believed." Madden called the shaggy-haired Stabler, whose wild style on the field and off helped earn him the nickname "The Snake," the perfect Raider. Madden said if he had one drive to win a game and could choose any quarterback who ever played to lead it, Stabler would be his choice. "The hotter the game, the hotter I got, and Kenny was truly just the opposite; the hotter the game, the cooler he became," Madden said. _______________________________ RIP, Kenny
DeMarcus Lawrence, Randy Gregory, Rolando McClain on suspension; Tyrone Crawford sitting because of a bad back, back-up QB Kellen Moore with a broken ankle. Camp 2016 is off to a rollicking start for Dallas. Not a hell of a lot out there in addition to Foles. Josh McCown, Geno Smith in a trade...? Mike Vick? Sheesh.
I almost feel bad for the Cowboys... but i havnt forgiven them for that catch against Minnesota back in the day. Dammitt!!! That still stings.
Tyrann Mathieu, Cardinals agree to 5-year extension In the span of three years, Tyrann Mathieu has gone from NFL draft pariah to franchise cornerstone in Arizona. The Cardinals have agreed to terms with the NFL's most versatile defensive back on a five-year, $62.5 million extension averaging more than $12 million annually, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, via sources informed of the deal. The contract calls for $40 million in guarantees... ___________________________________________ He is now the highest paid Safety. (ever)
Apparently this Purple Drank causes you to gain A LOT of weight. McClain now weighs close to 300 lbs.
[sigh] Of course, he will. Tony Romo's back will flare up, Sean Lee will strain his knee, Dez Bryant will suffer a high ankle sprain ...
That being said all 3 should be good to go in no time. The only hanging issue is Elliott's legal case but it would shock me if anything happened.
Are you talking top 3 drafted RBs or top 3 in the NFL? Because Elliot isn't a top 3 RB in the league yet.
Neither. I meant the top 3 on the Cowboys depth chart. 1/2 are Elliott and McFadden. 3 is Dunbar if I'm not mistaken.
