Bills are in for a rude awakening this week.

As long as the Bills respect Lamar they should win. I honestly don't think the Ravens are that good if you can contain him.

 

Tennessee held the ravens to 20 points. The ravens also played defense, that’s where they will beat the bills

 

Browns activate Denzel Ward, Kevin Johnson



The Browns have a pair of cornerbacks back on the active roster.

Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson have been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Both players missed the last two games after testing positive.

Their presence would be welcomed by the defense under any circumstances, but all the more so after Robert Jackson went down with a hamstring injury last Sunday. Jackson started that game alongside Terrance Mitchell and M.J. Stewart.

Left guard Joel Bitonio and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge remain on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but could return in time to face the Chiefs this weekend. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is expected back for that game after missing last weekend’s win due to a positive test.

Browns have to be cool and make damn sure they do everything right so that they will have the full compliment of players and coach's against the Chiefs at Arrowhead... they are going to need to go in there complete, not half-cock'd.

 

Josh Gordon suspended indefinitely



Last month, Seahawks wide receiver Josh Gordon was conditionally reinstated, and the team expected him back on the field before the season was over. That didn’t happen, and now it may never happen.

Gordon’s conditional reinstatement has been rescinded and he is now suspended indefinitely again, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

There has been no word on what, specifically, led Gordon to be re-suspended, but he reportedly did not meet all the terms of his conditional reinstatement.

Gordon is among the most talented wide receivers in football, but his struggles with substance abuse have derailed his career. He led the NFL in receiving yards in 2013, but in seven seasons since then, he has played in just 33 regular-season games while missing 79 games thanks to a series of lengthy suspensions. Gordon last played in December of 2019.

The 29-year-old Gordon has had a total of five suspensions during his NFL career.

Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) game-time decision vs. Packers

The knee injury Cooper Kupp suffered on Super Wild Card Weekend is still hampering him heading into the Divisional Round.

The Rams wide receiver is a game-time decision to play Saturday versus the Packers, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. Kupp is officially listed as questionable.

After Kupp went down late in L.A.'s win over the Seahawks, coach Sean McVay said he expected his leading wideout to play in Green Bay this weekend. But he was unable to practice all week and his status might come down to how he fares in pregame warmups, Pelissero added.

Kupp, who missed Week 17 following a bout with COVID-19, registered team highs in receptions (four) and yards (78) in the Rams' playoff opener.

The Rams and Packers kick off at 4:35 p.m. ET.

Packers defeat Rams 32-18, advance to NFC Championship Game



The NFC’s road to Super Bowl LV will continue to go through Green Bay.

The Packers racked up 484 yards of offense against the Rams’ top-ranked defense en route to a 32-18 victory on Saturday.

Los Angeles had not allowed more than 390 yards in a game all season. The Packers also had 188 yards rushing, which allowed the club to control the clock for much of the game.

Though L.A. cut Green Bay’s lead to seven points late in the third quarter, the game never felt that close. The Packers scored on each of their first five possessions. And after the Rams, forced consecutive punts in the second half, Aaron Rodgers‘ 58-yard touchdown pass to Allen Lazard with 6:52 left in the fourth quarter put Green Bay up by 14.

Jared Goff took a sack on fourth-and-13 from midfield on Los Angeles’ ensuing possession to effectively seal Green Bay’s victory. The Rams never got the ball back.

Rodgers was on point throughout the contest, finishing 23-of-36 passing for 296 yards with a pair of passing TDs and a one-yard score on the ground. Lazard led the team with 96 yards on four receptions. Davante Adams caught nine passes for 66 yards and a TD.

On the ground, Aaron Jones led the club with 14 carries for 99 yards — including a 60-yard run to start the third quarter. Jamaal Williams had 65 yards on 12 carries.

Though head coach Sean McVay told the Fox broadcast in a halftime interview that Aaron Donald‘s snaps weren’t being limited due to his ribs injury, it didn’t appear that way on the field. Donald had only one tackle during the contest and was shown on the sideline throughout the game. Donald’s injury and limitations clearly had an effect on Los Angeles’ defense.

After John Wolford started last week, Goff finished Saturday’s contest 21-of-27 passing with 174 yards and a touchdown. Running back Cam Akers had 90 yards on 18 carries with a TD.

The Packers will take on the winner of Sunday’s matchup between the Buccaneers and Saints next Sunday.

Bills headed to AFC Championship Game for first time since 1993 season



It wasn’t pretty. In fact, at times, it was downright ugly.

But Buffalo undoubtedly will consider Saturday’s 17-3 victory over the Ravens a thing of beauty. Indeed, the city is celebrating like it’s 1993.

That’s the last time the Bills made the AFC Championship Game.

Next Sunday, Buffalo will play either the Chiefs in Kansas City or the Browns at home.

The Bills gained only 220 yards as Josh Allen completed 23 of 37 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown. He threw a 3-yard scoring toss to Stefon Diggs, who went over 100 yards for the second consecutive game and the fifth time in six games.

Diggs caught eight passes for 106 yards.

The Bills allowed 340 yards but held Lamar Jackson to 34 rushing yards on nine carries and 162 passing yards before he left the game on the final play of the third quarter. Jackson was diagnosed with a concussion and did not return after hitting his head on the turf.

That left the Ravens’ comeback hopes in the hands of backup quarterback Tyler Huntley. Huntley drove the Ravens to the Buffalo 10-yard line, but with 2:46 remaining, his fourth-down pass fell incomplete.

The Ravens had five drives inside the Bills 30. They kicked one field goal, missed two field goals, threw a pick-six and turned it over on downs.

Taron Johnson played the part of hero for the Bills, returning a Jackson interception 101 yards for a back-breaking touchdown with 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter. The Ravens were 9 yards from a tying touchdown.

Johnson’s interception return tied for the longest in postseason history. Packers defensive back George Teague had a 101-yard interception return against the Lions in 1993.

Jerry Hughes had two sacks and another pressure on Jackson.

Kickers Tyler Bass and Justin Tucker each made one field goal and missed two field goals on a windy night.
