5 or 6 seasons from now when we look back at this draft...Sanders is gonna be looked at as the most successful QB pick.

I don't think he's gonna light the world on fire but I think he will make the most solid NFL QB from this class.

Based on early initial talent or what? Pickett has experience and what else in your opinion? Are you comparing to now or when Pickett was drafted?

Personally I like Dart or Will Howard in Cleveland as far as the long road into the future when they go Pickett or Flacco as the starter. I think that will be just fine for now, because its the best option currently available.

When it comes to investing into the future, Id like to see a Dart or Howard in Cleveland compared to any other QB, quite frankly.

This was all based solely on when Pickett came out, not present day. Pickett had already failed in this league imho. There are QBs that are lackluster and resurrect their career down the road with another team and others that immediately show they are back up QBs. The latter is Pickett and I fear every QB in this draft class.

If they take Pickett or Howard or Sanders or, well anyone, this fanbase will be comparing him to Mayfield, that’s the litmus test. If they don’t perform above his short stay then they are a failure. Haslem will be paying that price with the fans until they find an actual replacement or he sells the team.

This group has hyped Sanders so much leading up to the draft, they have to talk up the others around him in case one or more go in front of him. If you look at true college careers and film, Pickett is ahead of this second tier of QBs in this draft. It just isn’t a good class despite there being several that can become good backup QBs in the league. Pickett was taken way early and if any of these others are taken in the first (probably will be) we will be talking about how that team needs a QB in two years.

What sucks is, the team that drafts these qualified backups can’t retain them as backups because they spent a first round pick on them and have to save face. Others in the league look at a failed first round pick and think… I can get the max out of this prospect, let’s get him in camp cheap and it rarely works out.

As for the “who” all the QBs are being hyped, the only grade you can go off of are their measurables.

Their scouting report grade on NFL.com are as follows..

Pickett 6.4 will become starter within 2 years
Sanders 6.3 will eventually be a plus
Dart 6.17 good backup with potential to develop into starter
Shough 6.16 good backup with potential to develop into starter
Ewers 6.15 good backup with potential to develop into starter
Milroe 6.14 good backup with potential to develop into starter
McCord 6.13 good backup with potential to develop into starter
    And for the record…
Will Howard 5.9 average backup or special teamer
