Brady is going out a winner. He will retire when he raises the Lombardi this time. The major call was not going for it on 4th down, down 8 with 2 minutes to go. a FG doesn't give you anything in that situation. Your D has proven all game that they weren't stopping the Bucs enough to think they would get a 3 and out. The flag was a blatant hold for sure, what was interesting is they were allowing the grabbing ALL GAME LONG, but at the critical moment, they bring it out, shrugs, some things don't change.
I agree the past shouldn’t impact if you call a penalty, however in that situation flag should’ve stayed in the pocket on that one, especially with the penalty that was called. Ball was uncatchable and shouldn’t have been called. End of the day, even if it wasn’t called Rodgers had about a minute to drive a long field to get the winning TD, and they should have went for the TD instead of the FG. Tampa had a lot more to do with the outcome than the refs for sure, congrats to them for making the plays when they needed to.
Over under how many times they mention first time a team from the sb city is in the sb? Maybe 125 times
Over under how many times they mention first time a team from the sb city is in the sb? Vikings almost did it 2018.....but lost NFCC to the Eagles.
I think it will be Chiefs and that was my thought before start of the season but ive been wrong on the Bucs 3 times already in the playoffs.
Yeah, it's insane how people are fixating on the wrong thing here, but I guess it's on the refs for calling it wrong. It was holding. Jersey was being blatantly pulled before the ball went out. Now, the ball was uncatchable and the receiver DEFINITELY flopped, which I can't stand, but it's an obvious holding call (and more egregious than the examples jag-off Packers fans are trying to whine about).
Exactly right on all counts. That it wasn't a PI was completely irrelevant because A- It was still a clear as day holding penalty , and B- The yardage didnt matter. It was an automatic FD, thats what mattered. Whether it was a PI or holding had no bearing on the ensuing sequence of events. Bucs would still have run the ball on all downs, the Packers TO and then the clock would still have got bled in the same way. But you just cant beat Erin and the fanbase crying like fucking babies about calls after the game. Beautiful, I wouldn't change a thing.
