UCLA with a Patriots style comeback.

Some are asking if it was a catch or incomplete.

It would appear that Florida State's worst fears have been realized. Quarterback Deondre Francois is indeed out for the season with a patella tendon injury, according to the Tallahassee Democrat and Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman. Francois is expected to have surgery on his knee on Tuesday, according to the paper.

Francois, a redshirt sophomore, had his leg rolled up on while he was being sacked during the fourth quarter of Florida State's 24-7 loss to Alabama on Saturday in Atlanta. Francois stayed on the ground clutching his left knee and had to be helped off the field. He was put into an air cast on the Florida State sideline and carted off the field.

It should have been reviewed. It was close. No matter the initial call, I would not have overturned whatever the call was on the field. So no harm.

I agree, Joe. Looked at it a few times and wouldn't have overturned it myself... crazy game.

ND looked solid with a new QB. Going to be a tough game vs 14th ranked Georgia. But the Georgia QB is out, so there's a chance...?

The Florida Gators would rather sit through a hurricane than play a road game vs a non-power 5 opponent. They cancelled their game @ Arkansas State and it won't be made up.

You mean, Miami - Miami cancelled the game.

Imagine if you're an athlete, whether college or pro, in South Florida - leaving your home and your family for a game, and then... what? You can't come back. The storm will only be moving north. You won't be back in the area, based on current forecasts, until Wednesday, at best. Stay here, stay prepared. The fewer moving parts and contingent plans, the better. If we're lucky, it won't hit us - current projections are having it push more east than before, and given the pressure systems that are dictating that, that's good for us. These systems are moving eastward, so any movement to the east is likely to stay that way.

If we're lucky, we get a gnarly tropical storm. And everyone can give local teams a break for one fucking weekend.

Yes I meant Miami. But I wouldn't keep the team in Miami to shelter. I'd let them go to the game. Safety first before their feelings.

Wait, what are you talking about? Again, it's not about whether or not they leave - it's about whether/when they'll be able to come back. And it's not just "their feelings", pertaining to their families and belongings - that's their whole world under threat of storm while they're supposed to be off playing football? Dude, I can barely focus at my desk during the day (ex: right now) while there's a hurricane on the way. I couldn't imagine trying to play competitive football while one is actually bearing down directly on my loved ones.

Evacuation is done on a case by case basis. First, it's about flooding - are you in danger of storm surges making your area unlivable/unreachable?
Second, it's about structural integrity. There are very few homes left in Florida that aren't up to hurricane code.

The safest place for me, despite being directly in the path of the hurricane, at the moment, is in my home, well prepared. That's the same for any athlete down here. They cancelled the game specifically for safety's sake. You don't know what you're talking about, Joe.

A game in Arkansas cancelled for safety? Don't buy it. It's safer in Arkansas than in Miami, despite the storm-proofing.

I'll go back on my comment though. More players than I thought are from the area despite being a national school. Emotionally it would be tough for them to play and some may call it insensitive to do so. But it'd still be safer there than Miami.

This Buckeyes and Sooners game is cool... a little too close for comfort for my liking tho.

I can see why Brian Kelly was such a little bitch when Kizer declared for the draft.

This team's offense is frightening with a better quarterback

yeah but his play calling still sucks! 4th and 1 with 4 min to go and you punt? a first down probably wins the game or winds the clock down a lot. his second half play calling was dismal and you can't win the game without running the damn ball. the georgia def ate their RBs as a late night snack. ND had nothing for them. And they didn't go to E. Brown enough either. Tough loss, but Kelly is winless against ranked teams, so this isn't that surprising.

they already have a 5 star dual option QB signed and ready for next year, so that's good. i read he may redshirt 1 yr and sit and learn the ropes for another, so that's starting in 2020? how the hell is that possible? baffling what is happening in South Bend!
