i don't know Joe, every play Dabo is seen running down the sidelines screaming at the refs to look at replays on the jumbotron. i mean every play against clemson he was doing that. and where was the penalty late in the 4th qtr when he was screaming at the sideline ref? it went on for 30 seconds of verbal abuse and nothing from the ref. flag him up! bama needed help covering that wr, so why didn't they? 2 amazing catches to extend clemson drives and saban still went 1 on 1 coverage on him. why? kiffen has the last laugh as the bama's qb and passing offense was not the same as when kiffen was there. clemson hung around and did what it needed to win at the end. a game for the ages.

Kurt Warner?s son will play at Nebraska next season National Signing Day came and went earlier this month. And while Nebraska didn?t sign the best class, it might have signed the most unique. Among the Huskers? 20 signees were Ben Miles (the son of Les) and Keyshawn Johnson Jr. And on Friday we learned that the son of another famous football star will join them in Lincoln next year. Kade Warner, the son of new Pro Football Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, announced his intention to join the Huskers as a preferred walk-on. Kade isn?t a quarterback like his father; he?s a decorated wide receiver from the Phoenix area, where Kurt played with the Cardinals from 2005-09. Last season at Desert Mountain High School, Warner caught 83 passes for 1,062 yards and 14 touchdowns in just 10 games. He actually holds the Arizona state record with 241 career catches. Despite all of that success, Warner had no scholarship offers. It was a Nebraska graduate assistant ? who previously coached at Desert Mountain ? who tipped off the Cornhuskers? coaching staff about him. Had Warner not chosen Nebraska, he also had the chance to walk on at Arizona State. Although he isn?t on scholarship, Warner might see the field in 2017. The Cornhuskers?took one fewer scholarship wide receiver in this recruiting class than expected. Don?t be surprised if Warner fills that role. (Fox Sports)
i wonder if any infraction involves the basketball team at UNC will they forfeit their National Titles under Williams?
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops retiring In a move sure to send shockwaves throughout the football community, Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops reportedly plans to tell his team Wednesday he's retiring. Stoops has been the Sooners' head coach for 18 seasons, leading them to a national championship in 2000 and 10 Big 12 titles, including in each of the past two seasons. The Oklahoman first reported the news. Offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley will take over as head coach, per reports. Stoops is 56 years old. The Oklahoman reported he will remain with the school in some capacity.
^^^ND should be on the phone right now to him offering him the Brinks truck and the keys to the school !
Willie Taggart has dismissed Darren Carrington from the Oregon football team. The Ducks top WR & big-play WR had a DUI earlier this month.
Budding Alabama football star arrested for DUI Not good news for the Crimson Tide. After a disappointing loss to the Clemson Tigers in the title game of the College Football Playoffs last season, Alabama is gearing up and getting ready for another incredible run at a national title. Unfortunately, it sounds like one of their young stars might be in some massive trouble going into the season. Defensive lineman and former top recruit Da'Shawn Hand was arrested for a DUI earlier this week.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...ame-football-coach-ara-parseghian-dies-at-94/ ND and Coaching Legend Ara Parseghian dies at 94. Wow! He won 2 National Titles at ND and coached Theismann, Montana and even was there when Rudy was trying to make the team!
I just saw this and came on to post.. This is one of the saddest days for my love of college football. Parseghian was the reason I started watching Notre Dame football. Late 70's, we didn't have cable, only a dozen channels at most. One Saturday, getting ready to watch college football, they showed a pre game speech of Ara, it got ME pumped up and I've watched the Irish ever since. Man lived a life and made mine a little more fun. I'm sad to hear this.
Like Irishdawg42, I also followed Notre Dame in the 70's. I spent half of the 60's and most of the 70's away from Ohio while in the service and ND football was one of the few schools you could follow every week. Actually moved to just south of South Bend in the late 70's and got stoked. The only problem was I moved there about the same time as Jerry Faust.
^^i thought Dan Devine coached in the late 70's and Faust came in the early 80's? i think i just heard a black cloud thundering. FAUST! I actually met him at my grade school bf i was a ND fan. If i knew he was a bad coach when i met him in the 8th grade, i would've kicked him in the nuts and said "thanks for ruining ND!" HAHAHAHAHA
https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...d-and-underrated-coaches-in-college-football/ great list. a lot of overpaid guys in this list for sure !
