My one Falcons buddy posted a retweet getting upset at a Falcons beat writer that said that Matt Ryan was going to throw the season away. A few hours later he is banging his head because he may have done just that on the pick-2.

Louisville's Lamar Jackson wins 2016 Heisman Trophy Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday after a spectacular sophomore season in which he accounted for 51 touchdowns and nearly 5,000 total yards. Jackson beat out Clemson QB Deshaun Watson, Michigan LB Jabrill Peppers, Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma WR Dede Westbrook for the honor. Jackson, 19, is the youngest Heisman winner ever, and the first Heisman winner from Louisville (he was the school's first finalist for the honor). Watson finished second in the voting, with 1,524 points to Jackson's 2,144. Mayfield finished third (361 points), Westbrook fourth (209) and Peppers fifth (208). "To the Heisman voters, I'm truly honored and humbled to be the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner," said Jackson, who fought back tears during his acceptance speech. "To be able to stand up here with all these other Heisman Trophy winners, I'm extremely proud to represent this class and the University of Louisville with their first Heisman Trophy." Jackson wasted no time in gathering Heisman Trophy momentum this season, throwing six touchdown passes in a season opener against Charlotte and rushing for four a week later against Syracuse. But Jackson performed against tougher competition, as well. He led UL to a 63-20 win over Florida State and played well in a loss to Watson's Clemson team, as well. For the season, Jackson completed 220 of 382 passes (59 percent) for 3,390 yards, 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions. But it was as a rusher where Jackson was perhaps at his most spectacular. He ran for 1,538 yards on the season, more than all but seven FBS running backs.

Wake Forest radio analyst has been leaking gameplans to opponents since 2014 Wake Forest announced that they have fired radio broadcaster Tommy Elrod, who, after an internal investigation by the school, was found to be allegedly leaking game plans to opposing teams dating all the way back to the 2014 season. Elrod, a former player at the school, later served as?assistant coach with the team and worked under Jim Grobe in various capacities for 11 years. But after Grobe was fired, Elrod was not retained by current coach Dave Clawson before eventually moving to the team's radio booth. And he has been leaking the reports since then, the investigation concluded. Elrod has been both fired from his post as radio analyst and also barred from the team's facilities, with AD Ron Wellman releasing the following statement: "I have known Tommy Elrod since his days as a player on our football team. I?m deeply disappointed that he would act against Wake Forest, our football team and our fans in such a harmful manner by compromising confidential game preparation information. It is a relief that the team can move forward without his actions further undermining the positive strides Dave Clawson, his staff and the team have made. All of us are now preparing for final exams and the Military Bowl and continuing to build an outstanding football program." Clawson released his own statement, which read: "I am extremely disappointed that our confidential and proprietary game preparation was compromised. It?s incomprehensible that a former Wake Forest student-athlete, graduate-assistant, full-time football coach, and current radio analyst for the school, would betray his alma mater. We allowed him to have full access to our players, team functions, film room, and practices. He violated our trust which negatively impacted our entire program. I am glad we have taken steps to ensure it will not happen in the future. At this point, this is a matter for Ron Wellman and others to act on. My staff and I are focused on Temple and preparing the team for the Military Bowl."
see what happens when your coach leaves? Temple will fall back to being crappy again. same thing happened when Al Golden left for the U. Is there a bigger fraud than Houston? What were they at 1 point, 4th in the polls? PU.
