I think: Bama is in. Clemson is in if they beat VT. Washington is in if they beat Colorado. (Which may not happen) Ohio State is in. If Clemson and/or Washington lose all heck is going to break loose.
if OSU gets in as a non-conf champ - all hell will breaks loose. Imagine if Wisky or Penn St is Big 10 Champ and not in the final 4? wow!
I would think it's weird if Ohio State doesn't make it with only 1 loss and the best set of wins in the country. They have done more than enough to be in the top 4 without a division or conference record. They are that far ahead of the #5 team. This isn't the same BS of Alabama getting into the BCS Title Game vs LSU ahead of Oklahoma State when they had the same record but Ok State had better wins and a conference title.
btw the west of the big 10 stinks besides 2 teams. all the good teams are in the east. pu on that alignment.
So like it was said consider Alabama and Ohio State in. Clemson and Washington are in with wins, out with losses. If 1 loses it will either be the Big Ten Champ or Michigan. Michigan could really happen. Equal loss total and H2H. If Clemson AND Washington lose then the Big Ten Champ is pretty much a lock. The last spot would either go to Michigan (at 3 or 4), Oklahoma/Oklahoma State winner or Colorado. It would be a tough call. I'd personally say Colorado>Big 12 but committee loves Oklahoma. Michigan beat Colorado. There will be some controversy no matter what but I think it can be put to bed if the current top 4 just stay the same.
In case you are saying Nebraska is one of those 2 non-stinkers, then you need to add Iowa into that list as well. Also Minnesota doesn't stink. They just aren't great. Lost to 4 ranked teams, beat everyone else.
i was shocked when i saw who was in each division... i thought it was more evenly split. minny is very up and coming. should be fun to watch in '17!
They tried splitting them before in Leaders and Legends but it was stupid. Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin on one side, the Michigans, Iowa and Nebraska on the other. They just couldn't split OSU and Michigan among other things so they went east/west. It's not much different in the ACC and SEC if you think about it. Auburn/Bama/LSU, Clemson/FSU/Louisiville. You can't make anything perfect with fixed divisions. But as for the Big Ten this year the west is by no means garbage. The East is just that far ahead. 3 teams that could be in the playoffs? Nebraska isn't as good as their record but it wasn't supposed to be this good this year. Iowa was good this year with some big wins including over Michigan but they stumbled early vs North Western and North Dakota State (who Iowa gets way to much flack for losing to). And as I said Minnesota isn't garbage but they beat who they were supposed to and only lost by a score vs Iowa, Nebraska and Penn State. They were close with Wisconsin until the end as well. The West isn't garbage at all. Heck it may be the 2nd best division in the country after the Big Ten East. Just compared to the East it looks bad.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/ohio-state-issues-active-shooter-alert-153924393.html OSU Shooter dead, 8 wounded. Very sad!
Committee continues to show they are a joke. Look at all these SEC teams being ranked for only 1 decent win at 8-4 while other teams like Pitt and Iowa with huge wins get the shaft.
You would think that it would be completely objective, but the thing you posted tells a different story. It just makes no sense.
You can't even play the card that Auburn is better because they lost to hard teams, dropping their record. Pitt beat 2 top 10 teams while Auburn didn't. 1 of them is even a Clemson team Auburn lost to! Plus Pitt's worst loss is 8-4! My rankings may not be perfect but heck they take into account this shit.
http://www.cbssports.com/college-fo...penn-state-rank-proves-committee-is-clueless/ wow. I'm not sold on Penn St. Sorry. I think if they got in, they get their asses handed to them and sent packing. I think Wisky blows them out. They lost to UM by 39! 3 freaking 9!
