nice frank, gracias. salt in the wounds. Providence has John Gillies in net. You guys may remember him from the wjc a couple of years ago. i think he was Gibson's backup when they won gold and then was the starter the next year. he's really good and really big. Calgary has his rights and he is expected to turn pro after PC's season ends. i feel like the BU/UND semifinal will really be more a title match. its in Boston and I'm betting that Eichel wins the Hobey Baker the next day. There'll be a lot of buzz around here. Sucks that they wait 2 weeks but they can't compete w/ basketball. oh, and FUCKB.U.!
It's all Cornell's fault! If the Big Red had not pissed me off and addled my brain, I would have picked BU to beat PC in the finals.
this is just a cut/paste from the Boston Herald all scholastic team. the only freshman, there might not even be any sophomores. So this kid Wise plays for Central Catholic, a team in the league that i used to coach in. they were the only private school in the MVC, not exactly playing on an even field but fun going head to head w/ them regardless. this kid is amazeballs. i think that he'll probably go the CHL/Q route. if not he'll be joining Satan's farm team.
I would have been hammered on the bracket this year, or maybe done really well. I literally didn't see half of the teams play a single game this year before the tournament. I really get annoyed with the long break everyyear. Takes so much of my enthusiasm out of it by the end unless there's a team I really want to see win. I've already lost some steam.
