I'm in. I will probably come in dead last since I am pissed about Cornell's season. Angry don't make for good pickin.
Big Penn State winger Bailey signed by the Leafs. Sabres might have been able to use him, and Pegula is extremely well-connected with the PSU program. Connected may not be the word - he paid for it. I wonder if there's a backstory on why he snubbed Terry. I hope the org. limit of 50 isn't the reason he's not a Sabre. In any case this could be a good signing by the Leafs.
good to have ya Dan. i'll probably challenge for the basement as I'll just ride BC through it all. lol, when i read connected i was thinking the same thing....OWNS the program. I dont think Buffalo has the space for Bailey. even if they had the roster spot i think they want the minutes to go to top tier prospects. I have to believe that Bailey was also thinking the same thing, probably more opportunity in the Leafs system.
any good ideas on how to do the scoring? an easy option is to just do a weighted points system, something like 1 pt for 1st round win, 2 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd and 4 for the Champ. could even do more for the Champ. im all for fun or different ways to do these things, i just don't really know any.
Matty, you may want to post this on another tread like the Ditch. Some may not open the NCAA one if they're not that into the college game. (I know that sounds insane, but to each their own.) I met up with Red last night and I think he may be interested.
that seems like the easiest way to do it. i'll get my picks in soon so that you guys can have a template of sorts.
I'll put my picks up today too, I have a few stops and some work this morning, but when i get home i'll put my picks up.
so the winner of the West Regional will meet the winner of the Northeast in the Frozen 4 semis. same for Midwest vs East. 1st round- west North Dakota over Quinnipiac St. Cloud over Michigan Tech northeast BU over Yale Minnesota over Minnesota Duluth ------------------------------------------------- midwest M.State Mankato over RIT Harvard over Omaha (I think Ed Belfour's kid plays at Omaha) east Miami over Providence BC over Denver 2nd round- St. Cloud over North Dakota Minnesota over BU --------------------------------------- Mankato over Harvard BC over Miami 3rd round (Frozen 4 semis)- Minnesota over St. Cloud BC over Mankato Championship BC over Minnesota
lol, seems like it but no i didn't. they were in the Title game a couple of years ago and lost to Yale. 1st time any Ct. school made the finals and they both did it that year. that was a crazy year for college hockey. QU has put a lot of money in to their program recently, built a really nice rink too. they have a nice pipeline of Canadian kids playing there.
no problem Will, the first game isn't until Friday at 2 est. so as long as picks are in by then everyone will be fine.

we definitely could go round by round, i have no issue doing it that way its just that round 1 and round 2 are 24 hrs apart and rounds 3 and 4 are a couple days apart. the weighted points for further down the bracket are incentive to get the right teams in play if we just pick the entire thing at once.
Doing this on the iPhone - hope that typos & auto spell don't fuck me up! West: N. Dal. over Quin. MI Tech. over St. Cloud NE: BU over Yale MN over Mn-Dul.
