Will-you can see the games Dan is going to on the computer? I didn't they broadcasted that many games and that you could watch them. nice. i only catch whomever Notre Dame is playing on Comcast Sportsnet on Friday nights. My tv cable package doesn't show anyone else.

  7. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

Yep. I stream all my sports. No cable. NCAA hockey is available if you are a streamer, but you really have to be cautious and know your way around things.

I can stream hockey from all around the world... and all Leagues.

To be clear, I'm going to DU games this Friday and then the 17th. That's how I get #1-3 in one week.

I am particularly interested in seeing how much Will Borgen (D, SCSU) has progressed from a year ago. I'm pulling for them to win it all this year just so he's not tempted to come back for his senior season. We do not need to lose another collegiate free agent.

Boston University gets crushed by Northeastern. Gaudette with a couple. Nice sleeper team.

Don't let Matty hear you say that.

Matty is a Boston College guy, doubt he has a terrier.

I misread your post. I get it, NE is a good sleeper. Too much "bowling" for me.

    DU 4 SCSU 2

An EN in the final minute made this game appear less competitive than it was. The Huskies had a G waived off with about 5 to go.
Tight, hard fought game; tomorrow should be a good one.

I don’t care for the Yankees.
    I dislike the Canadiens.
I absolutely despise the BU Terriers with every fiber of my being.

#5 Henrik Borgstrom (Fla- 1st/23rd '16) is going to be something special in the NHL. He might not win the Hobey but he's the best NHL prospect from the NCAA that Ive seen.

I've seen Henrik a few times. No doubt he's good. I've never noticed him, however, when the Pioneers are in the DZ. I'm not saying he's incapable, just that it's not a key part of his game right now. Also, for a big boy, he could add a few pounds.

The later point is probably one of the main reasons that prospects with NHL talent stay in college for a couple of years.

The wheels on some of these kids is outstanding. Some have been taking skating lessons.

Matty-in your experience playing college hockey and coaching, or Dan since you travel a lot and see a lot of college games, - or anyone else who wants to chime in...what is the best venue (arena) to watch a college hockey game?? the one thing i really liked about Joe Louis Arena (thanks Dan) was the feel that it was an old time rink, like the ones in the hockey movie Youngblood. A small, closed in rink with the fans on top of you. All it needed was fencing instead of plexiglass. It was like something out of the Canadian Junior Leagues. I liked that about the Joe. Thanks.

IMO, it's hard to beat the Ralph at the Univ. of North Dakota. It's a big-league rink with a college atmosphere.

I am biased, but if anyone ever gets to centrally isolated Ithaca, NY, it' would be a shame to not witness the antics of the Cornell Big Red fans at Lynah Rink. Cornell treats hockey as the most important sport on campus - of course, it is just that. Good times for all ... unless yer a feckin' Hahvahd fan.

I'd also recommend any hockey rink in which one Matty McGee is in attendance.

Really, though, I'd recommend getting to any barn you can, and for any level of hockey. Witnessing the subtle differences in the game at various levels of the game gives you a greater appreciation for the nuances of the best game in the world.
