Brock Boeser with a goal and 2 assists tonight. This is one freshman that could turn pro next year since he has nothing in front of him. go my only nuck forward in the tourney.
Report in the Denver paper that Danton Heinen is undecided about leaving DU after this season. If Boston assures him of a real chance for the NHL then he'll go. If they're ticketing him to Providence then he will be better off playing his Junior year for the Pioneers. I think he'll get a lot of NHL ice time next year. This kid is good and he's exciting. I do not know how high he ultimately projects, but I'm glad that at least one team will be able to challenge the (pending) Sabres' supremacy.
holy moly thats awful. never heard of something like that happening. no helmet and hands in pockets. mustve hit a rut or something.
just got home from the games in Worcester. Vesey was a little lazy. Nothing terrible it just looks like he's gotten a little complacent. Still so good and a horse out there. I hadn't thought of the obvious angle to his decision being that if he jumps immediately he burns a year off his ELC. He and McCoshen were getting nasty tonight, tons of behind the scenes/after the whistle stuff between the two. must be some history to it, loved watching it. BC freshman F Miles Wood (NJ 4th/100 '13) has improved dramatically. he looks bigger than the 6-1, 185, he's listed at and he's fast. maybe a poor man's Kreider at this point. hear that Quinnipiac will probably jumped to Hockey East. possibly Holy Cross, hopefully not.
Teddy Doherty scored two goals, Thatcher Demko made 26 saves and Boston College held off Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 on Saturday night in the NCAA Northeast Regional final to advance to the Frozen Four. The Eagles (28-7-5) reached their record 25th Frozen Four. They won the last of their five national titles in 2012. "I think it was one of our objectives and we measure our team by the number of trophies we win, not necessarily how many games we win," Boston College coach Jerry York said. "We are successful in those trophy games and now we have a chance to win another one." Ryan Fitzgerald gave Boston College a 3-0 lead with 13:25 left when he beat Kasimir Kaskisuo with a wrister from the circle that went over the goalie's left shoulder. The Bulldogs (19-16-5) got goals from Austin Farley and Karson Kuhlman late in the third period, but couldn't push across the equalizer despite a power play in the final minute. Boston College will face the winner of the East final Sunday between Quinnipiac and Massachusetts-Lowell on April 7 in the Frozen Four in Tampa, Florida.
I'm trying to finesse a trip to Tampa for this one. not sure I can go solo, this may be a family adventure.

you aint kidding Will. that stick doesn't save that puck and Id be hard pressed to think UMD doesn't take the game given the fact that they were down 3-0 halfway through the 3rd and stormed back. Wisconsin is set to name Tony Granato head coach. I wonder if he'll bring in Scott Paluch as an asst. Scott is one of the great people in the [del]game[/del] world. Gave playing the game up to raise a family and coach. He was really good, put up big points from the blue line. Anyway, Scott is buddies w/ Granato, they both had Thanksgiving at my house when I was in H.S. and Granato was on the Kings at the time.
