SKINNY-I have another restaurant for you - Stockyard Smokehouse and Larder at -
699 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, Ontario M6C 1B2, Canada. It was on DDD for it's take on a BLT with thick cut bacon. Looked damn good. Worth a try.

I drive by there all the time, a lot of parking, will check it out. When I was a kid, that area was where all the slaughterhouses were, maple leaf foods, Canada Packers. In the summer the stench was deadly, it's been years they closed them down and the stench is still present to a lesser degree.

^^^ ew. im a big BLT fan but not a fan of the arugula they used for their BLT. The thick cut bacon was hand carved. that looked tasty.

the cheesesteak is taking a back seat to the roast pork sandwich and other sandwiches places offer here. they had a contest years ago and the roast pork with broccoli rabe from dinics was the #1 sandwich in america.

The roast pork with the hostile takeover.

It's kind of interesting this topic has come up. I'm going to Philly for a couple of days (Sunday-Tuesday) to engorge in the culinary aspects of the city. So, thanks for the extra foods ideas.

I was wondering what broccoli rabe was, interesting over here we call it rapini, I've been eating that for years.

Over here, we call roast pork, porchetta, very popular at stag parties, big hit for years, minus the provolone and broccoli.
