yeah matty a lot of people don't like his act and he's had a feud with anthony bourdain for years. To me Fieri's show is helping the little people with their food spots get discovered and showcased. His show helps their businesses with more tourist and locals going there. What does ex-addict Bourdain do for anyone? Nothing! He's written at length over his feud with Fieri and his entire shtick and word phrases. So what? That's his personality. That's how he wants to be on HIS show then let him.

Better to be real and yourself than a fake like Bobby Flay -- Mr. Prim and Proper on his 3rd wife and more cheating allegations with Giada De Laurentiis.

i have a hard time calling this "real". i would say anything but real.

 

I've read reviews of people going to places that Fieri went to and weren't sold. What's he going to say on camera, the food sucks?
As far as the lakeview, I only had the pancakes, not much to judge besides the service. I went to another place he went to called chaplansky's, nothing great. Bordain picks fights and nobody can figure out why?

Guy Fieri is one the biggest phonies on the planet. Elite level of not real.

 

I watch DDD's sometime but not for Guy. Guy just sounds gay as I type it. You can tell he was totally invented but it worked so I give him or a PR team credit.
Cat, when I went to a concert over in Camden he had a hamburger place there. It was really good btw but $$.

 

Camden, NJ? Really ? Didn't know he had a place there. I know he has one in the Pocono area of upstate Pa. I know his NY restaurant had a brutal opening and the worst reviews of all-time for downtown NY. And he pulled out of one of the restaurants he co-founded.

Most celebs burger places are expensive. Bobby Flay's Burger Palace by Penn's campus is awesome but bring your wallet. And Five Guys. which was named best burger joint in America, is expensive as all hell and it's not run by a celeb-fake or not.

Matty-his act may be fake, but it works. He's a lot wealthier than I am.

because he changed his look to sell a product? is he a phony because he changed his entire persona and personality to sell a product?

he's definitely weird-yes. egomaniac-yes. but he seems to love food and what he does, so his act may be created, but i still think that's all him to a degree.

Guy Fieri is a bullshit created persona used to sell crap to people that somehow relate that persona to quality or fun. for me the real question is why does anyone buy in?

i like the tv show and the places he goes and the owners who own them and their food. the show could be hosted by anyone and i would watch it. it's not necessarily about him that makes me watch the show.

i know all about his NY restaurant and it's opening. yeah he's being raked over the coals for that one many times. people warned him not to open it in Times Square and he didn't listen.

Speaking of douchebaggery...a few years ago at the Super Bowl or a Super Bowl after party in New Orleans, the security didn't recognize him at the door and he went berserk. Like how dare they NOT know who he was? So his clothing, accessories and hair style may have gone straight to his ego !
