When columbus set sail in 1492, he was in the minority in his view towards the sphere earth. If he believed in a flat earth at that time (like the vatican), he never would've took the route he did.

true but if you look up at the moon, you can see it's round! problem solved!

No kidding lol, back then a lot of the people thought that chris was nuts, they thought his ships were going fall(like falling off an eternal cliff). It took a lot of cahones to do what he did, even though the guy ended up being a prick.

The whole issue with shaq and the flat earth theory is they offer no counter-argument. The only thing they say is that all nasa pictures are doctored.

that take him up in a spacee shuttle to show him.

Columbus a prick? what else did he do or not do but got credit for?

  6. skinny123 Guest

Columbus was a murderer, rapist, thieve, greedy prick, you name it. If you ever vacation in the carribean (like the DR), don't mention his name.

  7. Catfish Guest

jeez. thank God im not Italian.

  8. skinny123 Guest

Lol, so what if he was italian, back then italy didn't even exist as a unified country, he was from genoa. The politicians just wanna make him some historical figure that represents italians. He was working for the queen of spain, people from genoa don't share the same dna as southern italians, nothing to tie any identity with columbus.

He was arrested, he was behind the genocide of many natives, they also raped their women and stole their goods, nothing new here.

and yet we still have Columbus Day! Leif Ericson is laughing at all of us!

I'm not sure, but did columbus ever even step foot on US soil? I know one thing, he's no big deal in italy, his house is there as a tourist trap and that's about it.

    Leif, founder of newfoundland!

didnt they find the remains of a ship building center from Ericson on some archeological dig a few years back in Newfoundland? something from his people they found in Newfoundland. Take that Columbus!

Imagine if you're him and leave a country and set out on a mission with no knowledge of if you would ever find land? u survive all that time at sea, get to land and people are already there! damn! they had to be relieved they saw someone other than themselves.

If you combine english, scottish and irish it's more than germans. I think the irish come in at 35 million and italians at 18 million.
