Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in any quack theory about God, as it remains an unknown. There are religions like the mormon faith and the church of scientology that incorporate aliens in their teachings.

Anything is possible and shouldn't be ruled out. We believe that when we die, our spirit seperates from our body and travels to another world, so any theory involving another world isn't that far fetched.
We're already halfway there in what we believe as christians.

i dont like the thread this week. God, dying, math, the sun, not believing in God, some video of Berlin, other planets, 500 yrs from now, aliens, etc. Way too depressing.

we all need a boost of pep and sunshine ! *DANCE* *YAHOO* *HI* :D

That'a cool.cat, I dare to go where no man dares, looking for the truth.

Not believing in god? Where did I say I didn't believe in God? I'm just pointing out possiblities of where god could come from on hypotheticals.

The Berlin video is a reminder of where war could lead and why history should never repeat itself. It's pretty cool to see what it would've been like to walk the streets in 1945, in colour too, not a fictional hollywood production.

The point about somebody understanding how to calculate the circumference of the earth, 250 years before jesus was born is fascinating. This is the ultimate great and independent thinker. He has absolutely no guides to go by on, except what 's in his brain.

There are many people in the world today that pass themselves off as being smart or intelligent.
When you sit down on a desk and somebody lectures you for years, you spend years reading their books, does this make you smart?

It means you're dedicated to learning, have good work ethic and can possibly go on and earn a good living.

The downside of this is it creates a seperation with the rest of society where one feels they're in the elite and "better" than the next guy.

It doesn't mean they're smart, Hero was SMART, he invented automation 2000 years ago all on his own. We don't even know what else he invented, because of the zealots that wanted to control everybody by keeping the ignorant.

While this comes across as depressing, I will go out in the world today and walk with the mindless zombies of the iphone generation with a slightly different view of the bigger picture. *SHADES*

Did I run a sentence there, not sure lol.

I would like to know, to what extent is god's creation, did he create planets that we don't know anything about and haven't discovered? Is it another god that creates another solar system and universe? Are there many gods? If god created the whole universe, shouldn't there be a reason and serve a purpose? Maybe a purpose that we aren't capable of understanding, a purpose so far advanced for us right now.

Sure, I believe in god, I'm sure he didn't create the whole universe with the sole purpose of earth getting all the attention, that would be vain on earth's part.

I have a whole-hearted belief beyond a shadow of doubt that the Holy Bible is the word of God. I find it so much more believable than listening to the tunes of many different men floating out their ideas.

When you stack up all the ideological theory's of life's existence, I find the Bible a lot more easily believable than the 'Big Bang Theory', 'Evolution' or 'chance' and even of intelligent beings from another planet creating us. I find the idea of a loving Creator much more appealing and believable.

When the Bible is closely examined, it has proven itself through the study of time-lines to be precisely true... no other literature can hold that claim.

I also don't have any issue with Earth being the center of attraction because of my faith in Gods Word. God's word declares there was war in heaven and Lucifer was cast to this Earth... hence making Earth the center of a cosmic battle of good versus evil.

I just find it personally more pleasing, believable and comforting to have a Faith in a God who makes himself known to us through His word. It kinda takes the guesswork out of things for me. Whats also cool is the freedom of choice given to us that allows us to make our own decisions and to except what we want to believe based on evidence and not just theoretical mumble jumble.

Finally, I would like to give you fellers something to ponder. If God exists, wouldn't you really want to know and would you listen to him if he had something vital for us to hear? For me the Word of God takes care of that too... it leaves no room for doubt. IF God exists and IF he was the sole Creator, wouldn't he reveal himself, wouldn't he have a plan for all things? I also believe God will reveal himself to you if you whole-heartedly and truthfully seek him.

Ok... I could go on for ever but i'll stop here. This is a sports web-site and I don't want to offend anyone, but I felt compelled just to say a few things.

    Carry on...

Glad to have you weigh in Will, I believe in the word of god. The word of god was spoken to people of 2000 years ago and their understanding of things back then.

Knowing what we know now, I wonder if the word of god in 2017 would look a little different. With god knowing we're more advanced, I wonder if it would be much more detailed.

God could possibly have many worlds with many bibles for different species.

it could be that god didn't feel a need to reveal anything to us beyond what we knew about in our world.

    Thanks, skinny.

We all know it's an historical fact that the Irish saved civilization. This documentary seeks to prove that they created it in the first place by giving the world hurling and hence hockey.

The black & gold jerseys were not the featured team in the clip. That'd be Tipperary, but the black & gold dominate the sport. They've won about 40% of the All Ireland Hurling Championships ever played.

    Go Kilkenny Cats!

Last night we had a family church service for my uncle, it's been a month since he passed. We had a get together at his home, we all brought tonnes of food and there were many leftovers.

I brought all the leftovers to a homeless shelter. As I was pulling in, two police cruisers drive in front of me and I see someone lying down on the floor that was stabbed.
As they were making the arrest, I was making my way through the chaos with the food. It was a real crazy scene and unusual timing.

Also, there was a stabbing at 6 am outside my place, person in serious condition.

skinny, I'd hang out someplace else.

Seriously, thank you for taking the leftovers to place where they're truly needed and appreciated.

Lol, I don't hang out at a homeless shelter, I went there purposely to drop off the leftover food. The stabbing outside my building, yeah, it's downtown and a very busy area, high density. It could be dangerous if you're by yourself and it's really late, but this could've been two people fighting.

Rule of thumb, mind your own business, when a stranger directs any insult toward you for no reason, take the high road and move on. I took care of all my petty scraps before the age of 15, just want peace my last years on this planet.
