To think, 3.8 billion years and we're here for 80, if we're lucky.

i know. i think about all the people who died bf us and who will die after us. crazy.

is there a heaven? some believe. others do not. but to live a life and then die and then be in the ground and that's it. no afterlife? nothing else so when you die, that's all is a very hard concept for me. i shutter in fear of death and get very scared if nothing else is out there for mankind. i hope there is but that's the price of death - you won't know until you die.

    ugh.

I know one thing, my uncle that passed away last month believed in the afterlife. In his last few days when waking up from the morphine he thought he had already died. He was saying to my mom, " you died too?, wow, I didn't know".

NO? I don't know whether to laugh at that or not.

since i lost my parents and best friend all bf i turned 22, i do wish to see them again somehow. if death is truly death and that's it, then that sucks!

My cousins were making videos of him, while feeding him ice cream on the last day he spoke. I think that's going a bit too far, you know how trends go.

We don't know what happens after death, that's for sure. We also don't know anything before birth, it could be co-related or better to live with hope and faith.

Just want to throw this fact that may surprise many out there: there are more people alive today than have ever lived in all time. Yes, if you take all humans, living and dead, the living constitute the majority.

There are profundities about that stat. when one thinks about it.

  11. Catfish Guest

that's crazy Dan. never knew that.

There's 6 billion people in the world today, people dropping like flies everyday. The funeral service industry is thriving, people dying to get in.

Immortality is still a pipedream, in reality, in 50 years from now, we'll most likely all be skeletons.

hey, hey, hey speak for yourself skinny. i'll be 95 then. i small chance i could still be alive?

  14. skinny123 Guest

That's why I said most likely, I could live past 100, do you want to?

well they could discover some incredible anti-aging drug that would make life easier and not me crapping in diapers and being fed pea soup and shit.

maybe. i don't know. the male gene in my family is doomed. my Dad died at 65. His 4 brothers died from the ages of 38-92. Men can only make it with surgery as the heart just doesn't last long for us.

It's ok cat, enjoy it while it lasts, we're all in the same boat, don't let anyone tell you different.

And half are probably Chinese......I don't think the earth will last another 3.8 billion years again. The ice is melting and water is getting higher around the world, more animals becoming extinct all the time. Btw, when your dead, you won't know anything anyways....No sense in worrying about it. Most animals don't last 20 years if you want to look at the bright side.....

This is really interesting, let's fast forward 500 years from now. We've found other planets that are habitable, also have the means to get there. If one human decided to start a civilization on another planet as they see the earth coming to an end, had the means of bringing over DNA, would they be called god?

Is it possible that a creator came from another world, found earth and started a civilization, and we call him god?
